Born into the wealth of Liam MacTavish's hard-won MacTavish clan, Farkas led an easy life growing up, until a Joker appeared, for reasons unknown, at a family reunion event hosted in Japan (Liam was quite the Japanophile) and slaughtered every last member of the clan...save for him. Left stranded, alone, and angry in the rural mountains, his sole purpose became finding and destroying the person responsible, and to that end, he sought power of all kinds. His first source was a traditional ninjutsu sect, until the age of 14 when he decided that its conservative values were not for him and he left for other venues, both of martial arts training (including judo, Brazillian jiujitsu, and krav maga) and of influence and reputation. A contract assassination took him to Russia, where he recruited his first follower, a fellow orphan named Sonia Sokolov who witnessed him carry out the contract to the letter. From then on, enjoying the feeling of power it granted him, he sought more, until his little empire was thousands strong and scattered across several countries, most world powers. In the chaos, he forgot his original, personal mision, until the first televised broadcast of the War on Improbable Island aired. A few weeks after arriving via naked airdrop on the Island, Farkas was warped into a JokerMorph, a member of the Improbable Island-native Kittymorph species that has absorbed enough Improbability (think radiation from the pure force of chance) to be categorized as a Joker, which is normally human in appearance with the exception of glowing, neon-green eyes. At their core, Jokers and their variants are both masters of and slaves to Improbability. Their signature move is pulling playing cards from thin air; Hearts heals a bit of damage, Spades increases their physical cababilities, Diamonds reduces the damage they receive, and Clubs enhances their senses. They also, once per day, have an opportunity to roll a 3-sided die that, until midnight, does nothing, grants rapid regeneration, or inflicts internal bleeding.

Unlike most JokerMorphs, however, Farkas has picked up a few extra tricks, all of which are fueled by the Improbability radiating from his body and thus reduce his default abilities.
These extra tricks include the solidification and manipulation of shadows within a three-meter radius, the ability to use his own shadow as a portal to a hammerspace of infinite capacity, contact electrocution, arching electricity between himself and a target within five meters, and contact "mind-hacking". His blood is also a rather potent neurotoxin if introduced to the bloodstream, and as such, he tends to be immune to similar toxins.
He's also obtained a few items that enhance his combat capabilities, including a cybernetic replacement for his left eye that allows him access to thermal vision, a trio of small, flesh-burrowing beetles that he hosts in his abdomen and provide him with additional fields of vision, and a soulgem embedded in the back of his left forearm that allows him a limited degree of shapeshifting (this includes, but is not limited to, suppressing his full Kittymorph form down to a more nekomimi one; it's more comfortable, but takes a bit of concentration to maintain and is also less flexible, so his combat capabilities are reduced in this form).
