Ightendar Elkay is looking for the child who neglected him, but does not remember what he/she looks like. After all, it's been an eternity since then. He does remember that he/she was either an anthro or a human. (demis count as humans for this purpose) However, he is rather eager for revenge and usually ends up taking it on people who are not the child, and usually ends up digesting them long before realizing that they were not the actual child... (time between digestion and realization can vary if you wish, I've recently been defaulting to having him realize right after consumption) this sends him out looking once again. (He will only eat other species by request) Will he ever find that one neglectful child, or will he leave a trail of souls separated from their bodies and cursed by his insides, never to find the right one...? (If the cursed spirit is reformed, the curse will let him teleport them back into his stomach from wherever they are, for fun.)

Fyi, his zipper-mouth is brass, and will not open in the dumb way shown in the anime... It opens like a normal zipper, the brass teeth becoming just that; his teeth. He can still speak without opening his zipper mouth, since he's a ghost type. However, when his zipper is open, his lips will move as he speaks.
His tongue is plush, and stuffed to just the right thickness to be accurate to an actual tongue.
Despite outward appearence, when inside him, his stomach walls always appear to be an inch away from the prey, no matter how big he actually made himself. (Yes, he can change size.) Strangely enough, from the outside, it will always seem that his prey is causing a bulge if he's currently the right size to have one.
Inside his belly, it is extremely dark and pretty chilly.
Even though his curse power (Looks like black smoke, btw) will escape if he opens his zipper, it's not too urgent for him to close it, though he must do so eventually. If too much curse power escapes, he'll fall down, lifeless, until the zipper is closed again. Doing so will cause the curse power to regenerate in him, and he'll get back up shortly after. (This curse regeneration will happen even if he doesn't expend all of it, which explains why he doesn't feel closing the zipper is too too urgent after opening it.) This "Falling unconcious" will rarely happen, however. He makes sure not to leave his zipper open that long.
However, he could get more prey this way... when "unconscious", He sort of looks like a life size banette costume... It also helps that he looks comfortable... and once someone were to put him on, He'd be able to regain curse power from their presence in him, even if they don't close the zipper. Yes, this is a scenario I'd be willing to try. (see below)

Semi-Canon:
Upon absorbing JesseTheGrim's soul after it escaped his body due to digestion by MaxTheTamer's Shiny Charizard, Scorch, 'dar has gained the ability to see all a person's deeds in their life up to the present. He hopes this will help him stop accusing people wrongly of being "the one". He also has Jesse's Chain-scythes, (though they've been shrunken a bit to make them usable to his short stature) But he can also summon forth a normal scythe. (again, resized for ease of use) As such, he may not just become lifeless when he finally gets his revenge... after all, he's now technically a Reaper...((For anyone who's worried about Jesse, don't be. He's still alive..... in a different alternate universe. :p))

As a pokemon, 'dar can be caught, but this will only be canon for Rp's with that trainer.

My headcanon is that Banette is a possessed plush toy. It explains the vast difference from its pre-evolution; a shuppet found a discarded, unloved plush, and decided to give it means for revenge. However, the shuppet didn't expect the plush to be as vengeful as it was, and the ghost's will was taken over by the plush, corrupting their appearence into the familiar banette style.

Possible scenarios:
The obvious scenario: 'dar comes across a person and immediately thinks they're "the one" and ends up eating them, just to find that he was mistaken yet again.
It's your time.... Not!: 'dar finds someone, and decides to mess with them after reading their history and finding that they're not "the one"; instead telling them that their time is up and they must enter his belly to cross over. It's a lie, though, and he'll reform them afterwards.
A kid-sized Banette Costume?: Someone finds what seems to be a strangely life-like and life-sized Banette costume on the ground, but there are a few strange things about it... it seems made more for realism than comfort, and the only zipper is the mouth zipper... What's more, the eyes can't be seen through... but it's just a harmless costume, right? Putting it on shouldn't be too bad an idea.... right...?
