Iriyana is the newest white mage to graduate from Grivanil Monastery. Having lost her entire village to a monster raid, and overcome with grief, she let out a spell of holy light that petrified all the monsters. This is what caught the attention of the Grivanil Watchers. Such a raw holy magic from a girl who was then 5 years old, it had to be tempered to shape, for safety of everyone around her. So began her training. Wake up in the morning, then study the Scripture of Grivanil for hours, and after that, physical tasks. She was an outstanding student, graduating in 13 years rather than the 30 it usually takes to master the magics taught there.
Now she roams the land, searching out for the lost artifacts of the Lost Deity Grivanil. These items hold immeasurable power, and she always feels their presence if they are nearby. There have been rumours that its due to her being the incarnation of Grivanil, the deific being of kindness and mercy. Grivanil was taken down by a mortal dragon, for Grivanil could not raise weapons against a misguided being, so she perished in single combat with a smile on her face.
A bit of a hermit personality, Iriyana may seem a bit sassy and brave for a Light mage, using her barrier spells to be in the thick of battle while healing her allies. She's also slightly foul-mouthed. She uses her staff masterfully as a melee weapon, knocking out monsters and escaping once they are out cold. She joined the Guild of Seekers, an adventurers guild that specializes in exploration over dungeon delving, and is a low ranking Seeker there.
