A serpentine male, a metallic gray in color, Irus gazes around a quiet library from his front desk, a silver claw adjusting his librarian-esque glasses back into the proper spot on his face, yellow snake eyes gazing through them, sharp as ever, for any miscreant who would cause trouble in his library... his long serpent tail ending just after his scaled, humanoid torso, and sweeping behind his desk, to save space. The tip of his tail taps against a small wastebasket, a dense cluster of bones packed inside...
Irus had always been a hungry snake-boy, and a bit of an antisocial one. Sometimes a neighbor or pet would disappear here and there, and no one suspected the hideaway reptilian. He took solace in reading books, more and more hidden away in his spacious attic, until his eyes had been worn from the strain.
As an adult, Irus had grown into a very fine snake specimen... over forty feet from head to tail, his entire body lined with rows of smooth, soft scales, his humanoid top section covered with a long-sleeved, button-up shirt, specially designed to keep his scaled figure comfortable... and to fit large amounts of mass inside without tearing, of course! He doesn't bother to clothe his lower snaketail, that would be a silly amount of effort.
