Meet Jex, the personification of astral power. Jex was once just as any old astral energy was: free-floating, unfocused, without any real conciousness of their own. But then one day their entire world changed...

A small group of sorcerers wished to know the key to the universe and what happened to create it-- Was it really the big bang? Was it some Higher Power? And so they worked diligently to pull the energy of the stars and bind them to a physical form. That is how Jex was created.

Of course, when they was made, the sorcerers didn't know that they would have to teach Jex anything-- they assumed Jex would be "born" with all of their knowledge. Unfortunately, Jex knew very little, though they were quick to learn! The scholars did quickly regret making them, as Jex was soon discovered to be very mischievous in nature; they enjoyed playing pranks on all of the sorcerers in the order.

Jex picked out their name all by themselves, much to the order's dismay. They wanted to call them after the name of their founder, but the universe's insistence that they were to be called Jex eventually won out, as they outright refused to respond to anyone otherwise..

As for sex, Jex's body shifts between male and female (and null) at will. As far as gender, Jex doesn't particularly identify with anything, preferring neutral pronouns.

Trivia:
-Jex refers to herself as "we" most of the time. While they are a singular entity, the vastness of the universe is difficult to encompass by a simple "I" or "Me."
-As stated above, Jex typically has no genitalia, but can manifest either set at will. While Jex is capable of being a hermaphrodite, they typically don't do that.
-Jex has the ability to change their tangibility and transparency at will. This means that they can possess bodies. However, if the body in question has a strong psyche, then Jex won't be able to hold it for very long and will be forced out.
