Katherine Aarden is a woman of many talents. She's gone through medical training in her younger years under a chruch, on top of her time in a Collegiate Institute of Magic, her specializing in restorative magic. The Order she was in came to be a highly regraded circle of healers. While her name itself isn't well known, the outfit she wears identifies her as a member of this Order, making her sought after many guild and travelers alike.
The woman herself has bounced around from place to place, helping the weary and tired as she goes. With a polite dispoistion, she treats everyone the same if she's able. This often leads her ending up traveling between towns with a great number of people with varied races and religions. This very often sees her hired for a time for her services as healer and doctor by a number towns and small groups. Her greatest act was more lucky timing then her abliities, according to her. She happened across a town in which the the town guard had just finished fending off a large group of bandits. Her timely arrival saw her spend a great deal of time with the town ward, as the skirmish saw the town with a severe lack of hands skilled in the medical field. It was a full month before she could stop and have the ward take over completely.
Everything sound normal so far? Well, that stops here.
Because of Katherine's skill set, she was scouted to undergo a very unique training regime. Was a solid 4 years almost without breaks to learn the method to use her own body to up her skills in the medical field, mostly the use of her womb! Through a number of magical means and special training she can effectively heal a pair of people at the same time! After her time training, she kept honing her abilites, pushing the strength of her womb healing as for as her proper healing powers. She finds herself able to cast her healing spell inside herself as well as outside her body. She can also handle the patients that refuse treatment despite their wounds because well.....can't really say no to the doctor if you are inside her body! She also put in the extra time to make it that if she wanted to keep a patient inside, they are staying inside. Most magical and physical means of forcing your way out, aren't going to work. A patient can't get out of her body without her willingness to let them out. Really helpful if someone is recovering from a head wound or has a mental illness as the very often don't know what's best for them. She's able to actually attend to more then one person at a time in her womb, though she has a few spells to help her keep everything managable. Can you imagine trying to get throught doors with two or three full grown adults in the womb? But if she casts a spell to make it be the size of a natural pregnancy, that'd be far easier to move around!
She doesn't often bring up her ability to unbirth.....but on the flip side, she doesn't try to hide it either! She often chats about the crazy things she has done with other healers. And if she actually has someone in her womb at the time, she's honest about it, quick to admit that she's not an expecting mother. Does she enjoy it? Somewhat! She finds it to be a pleasant feeling of calm when her patient falls asleep within her. Because she has had a number of times where she's had herself "pregnant" and had to suddenly do something, she's come up with ways to do her duties without the one within her form slowing her down.
Doesn't she sound like a lovely woman to be around? Are you sure about that?
She does have two sercets. The first is a magic based one. Through a combonation of spells, she can have people make a "pact" with her womb as it were. Her womb can bring someone back, assuming nothing happens to the soul, if they meet an unfortnaute end. Them seeming to respawn within her womanly depths to be birthed out come completion of the process.
The second sercet is how she handles herself in private. As one fellow put it. "When out amongst the populace, she's the shining example of what could be called a perfect wife. When it was just me and her? I ended up tied to the bed..." Katherine often find herself lording over her fellow party members when she has them to herself. But there are a few reasons never to bring anything that happens up in public. Because eventually you'll find yourself resting within her body......and she'll outright refuse to let you back out!
