It's uncertain what Lasila even is, much less where she came from. Is she a trickster spirit? A goddess? A demon? Perhaps an eldrich abomination? A web of lies, deceit, and death shroud her past in a deep fog, making it impossible to decern truth from fiction. Complicating this further is her lack of a concrete form, often changing her shape over the years, from a man to a woman, from human to demon, from demon to animal, to human once more. While there are many beings that match her modus operandi over the years, it cannot be acertained if they are the same creature that runs the Devil's House casino today. Many a man or woman has vanished into her chambers never to be seen again, but what she does with them is as unknown a her past, as not a single man or woman that has emerged from her chambers whole in body has been whole in mind.
The only clear facts are that she appears as a woman, with violet eyes and blonde hair. Beyond that, nothing is certain. Where one broken survivor may whisper softly about beauty unmatched by mortals, another may scream incomprehensibly about a hideous void that consumes all.
OOC notes: Laslia is a "Benevolent" extradimensional eldrich being. It exists outside a human understanding of space, time, and reality. For the single encounter you are having with her, she is simultaniously encountering an infinate universe's versions of the timeline in which you are speaking to her. This can often lead to strange speech patterns or instances in which timelines overlap through her, letting anyone encountering her momentarally experience a brief snapshot of what she is experiencing. Her very presence can make linear time and space unstable, though she tries her best to minimize these anomolies, some are inevitable.
She finds metahumans to be a delightful litle curiosity, and enjoys many things about them, but particularly their attraction to games of chance. She finds the human attraction to the roll of the dice, the shuffle of the cards, and the spin of the wheel fascinating, as for her she is simply experiencing every possible outcome in any given encounter simultaniously. She does also, unfortunately, see humans as fragile little toys that are sadly easily broken. She would feel some level of remorse were she to kill one reality's version of you, but it would be akin to if you accidentally stepped on an insect. Metahumans are, as mentioned, a fun curiosity to her, and she wishes to do kind things for them, but oftentimes her kindness may be accidentally disasterous. She has a dislike for metahumans that are cruel to other metahumans, but again, it's more akin to watching ants fight. You might feel bad, but really, there's so many and they're so insignificant that you just might not feel like doing anything about it.
The Devil's House:
The_Devils_House Casino is an old building on the outskirts of Las Vegas, used for many purposes throughout the years and renovated may times. It's been a smuggler hideout, a saloon, a prison, and at one point a makeshift hospice. Many souls and stories are tied to the old building, most recently renovated into a high-end casino by a mysterious benefactor. There's rumors of a number of dissapearances being linked to the casino, similar to a rash of dissapearances linked to an old cabin rental in Wyoming in the late 1990's. However, police investigations have turned up nothing, and detectives have publicly stated that no concrete evidince links the Devil's House to the dissapearances.
Scenarios I'm interested in:
Bringing a powerful character to their knees and tormenting their minds until they accept Lasila as their master.
A police officer or detective trying to bring Lasila to justice.
A very lucky gambler is offered a chance to gamble their lives against Lasila's ownership of the Devil's House and her eternal servitute. They don't win. Oh, spoilers, I guess.
Lasila adores music. Try your luck re-enacting "The Devil went down to Georga".
I'm also absolutely up for anything you may have to offer. Understand a lot of slice-of-life stuff is simply not possible with this character. Multisession is actually possible, since multiverses do actually exist for roleplays again, and can be a thing manupulated by a being that can bend reality to it's will.
Be aware that going into RP with Lasilia, I'll be trying any number of wierd things to try and work in horror elements. They will not always work. Lasilia is an extremely experimental character. However, it does nothing for my attempts to impove as a writer if you simply tell me "Oh the RP's good" and then vanish into thin air. If something's wrong, tell me. I promise I won't get mad.
