Lets get to know her a lil' bit, shall we?
Who is this? Well this is Leucothea of course!~ A leviathan girl! You all know what those are, right? Super duper long mermaids that can like... Do a bunch of stuff? Like:
Eat people...
Defend people (if they want it),
Eat people TO defend them!~
and uhhh... Swim super duper fast? (Duh~).
But yeah, she loves to help people and encourages others to ensure safe travels to all. She doesn't want anybody else to end up as lonely as she is out in the middle of the ocean as the biggest thing in it! (So she thinks?)
Now you might be wondering "Why does she glow?" She does this when she's too deep down in the water and can't see anything. Plus it is excellent for helping her attract fishes to c o n s u m e .
Plus they go off when she's feeling super happy and excited.
A little bit of histroy perhaps?
Leucothea was born many, many moons ago. Far longer than that of perhaps any creature she has come into contact with (so far). It wasn't until relatively recently when she found herself in this weird world surrounded by all sorts of new people aside from the one she was used to. Fish and sailors. She herself doesn't quite know how she got to this place aside from perhaps an anomaly rift broke open while she was doing her swimming and then... Poof! Right into this new world without her even trying to get here.Now what lead up to this moment you may ask? Well... Leucothea was the result of what happens when a god like Poseidon or somebody similar decides to put their dick inside a few too many fish. Literally birthed from an egg that was larger than the fish that was carrying her, which inevitably tore this fish apart, she was forced into this underwater world she knew her whole life. For centuries she would begin to try and learn how to use the waters to her advantage. The gods did look at her as some sort of monstrous demi-god of sorts, however still being cast out because of her appearance, she was forced to remain deep in the oceans, almost as far away from the heavens as possible. She didn't grow hatred as she really had no desire to, instead she simply decided to try and make sure all of the humans who could or would be potentially suffering wouldn't.
Why and how did she pick up this mentality? Well, some good sumaritans who were sailing and finding a baby mermaid without a home decided to try and raise her, as one does. It's then when she was given the name Leucothea. Raised by her new 'mom' and 'dad' until they inevitably died of old age while she still miraculously appeared to be only just an 8 year old mermaid at the time, she learned a lot. 60 some odd years of learning how society works, somewhat... And how to talk to people... somewhat... Her 'parents' also taught her to always do the right thing, as they told her stories of great beings who had great powers. And with those great powers came great responsibilities. Naturally, she would decide to use her demi-goddess like abilities to help as many people as she could find in the seas closest to her 'home'.
From here, she was still somewhat innocent and 'small' being only 20 feet in length and all. And without many people to protect her or keep her away from those who would wish to do harm, she surprisingly didn't encounter all too many issues. Yes some of them were rude and acted very sexually toward her in the beginning... This naturally derived her away from men in her later years just because of childhood traumas she had experienced. However when she was around her 120s and her 'puberty' hit. Well... Lets just say any sailors who traid to take advantage of this leviathan girl are no more.
Now in her teenage years and still abiding by a simple code, protect, and guide them to shore. Leocothea would talk to many, many sailors, learning and growing herself over the years. Every now and then if she knew a storm was about to come, she would purposefully reverse the waves away from certain towns with her tail. However whenever she did this, she had to be far too out in the sea to be seen doing so. She was naturally viewed as a monster by some locals despite many sailors saying she had saved their lives, but that's just the politics and fear of the town speaking.
Further into her adult years, she was able to get to manipulate water on a much smaller scale and to almost a similar level to those of the naturally born gods themselves. So much so, that she had found out a way to keep a water barrier over people and swallow them whole, keeping them safe and sound as she swam to shores. Granted this new tactic, albeit delicious on her end, proved to be very terrifying to everyone else involved. If somebody gets on her nerves she just does this to them regardless, but other than that, she gets quite shy. Now that she's grown so large, she can act as an actual ship for some people if the weather is cooperating with them. It was on one of these rescue missions where she was swimming when she hit the anomaly void. Going full speed ahead, she hit it and vanished from her world. And well, now you have the kind and silly Leviathan girl you see here today!~
