Names: Dimitri the outcast Dodongo,(the line is wobbly, and above it, in a childish scrawl, is written "Dinosaur!") Ricky the Kangaroo, and Moosh the Flying Bear
The three animal Buddies from the Legend of Zelda Oracle games. For those who've played them, there's not much more to say. If you've played the games, you know what they can do already. If not, well... I guess I should explain... I'll hide it for those of you who know.
Dimitri is a powerful swimmer, and can swallow almost anything whole. However, he moves quite slowly on land and shallow water. He also is unaffected by strong currents or the slipperyness of ice, and can even swim up waterfalls.
Ricky is a great jumper, able to clear small holes or climb short cliffs in a single leap. She's also the fastest, and apparently likes boxing. (so much so that if she loses her gloves, it disappoints her a lot; to the point where she can't do anything.) Her one-two punches are devastating, but she can also "wind up" and cause a whirlwind with a particularly fast punch.
Moosh is a little bit of a coward. He's a big guy, but extremely scared of ghosts, and if he gets too hungry, he won't even be able to move unless someone else gets him the food. Anyway, as a flying bear, he can hover over chasms, but his weight means he can only do so for a short time. He can also use his wings to reposition himself in the air and cause a small quake when he lands. However, he's extremely hydrophobic; he can't swim, and he also can't even bring himself to fly over deep water.
I play Ricky as a female, hence the Herm tag. The reason for this is twofold: One- Ricky clearly has a pouch, which only female 'roos have. Two- it seems less misogynistic to have at least one female in the group, especially since in the games Ricky was the fastest and most powerful. Plus, "Ricky" is a unisex name, so...
My headcanon about Dimitri, in his own words: "I'm an outcast. I was never keen on hot stuff. All I wanted to do was swim and eat... I didn't like breathing fire... I was found out and they broke my horn. Since then, I've lived as myself. I am a dodongo... but I prefer the classification of 'dinosaur'..."
(A note about the games, in case you're playing them: In Seasons, if you want any flute other than Ricky's flute, get it BEFORE even setting foot out of the Winter section. Once you enter the Spring area, your animal buddy will be locked as Ricky if you don't have a flute. Of course, this only applies to non-linked games. If you played Ages first, your animal buddy will be carried over with the link or secret. Also, once you get any flute, playing it can kill Pols Voice (the bunny-like enemies) Even if it's not yet connected to its AB. The harp works in Ages, too. For the harp, any tune works just as well.)
More sliders coming later. (Moosh is mostly prey, and an unwilling pred. He's too nice to eat someone, and as a coward, is largely unwilling as prey, too.)
