FREELANCE JOURNALIST CHARGED FOR PUBLIC INDECENCY
SPARKS OUTRAGE WITH COMMENTS

Censored picture of infamous local personality Loxia Nuctium embarassing herself publicly yet again.
(Taken by a delivery drone.)
An adult woman carelessly exposed her bare body to at least a hundred of beachgoers yesterday in the afternoon, causing a commotion at the beach. The perpetrator is a notorious individual amongst this community and the online community. A twenty eight years old rare type of hell bird demi who goes by the name of Loxia Nuctium. Hell birds have innate powers, those are especially strong in Loxia Nuctium, she is recorded as a dangerous type "S" predator. Loxia works as a freelance journalist who is also the author of a sordid yet popular and lucrative website that reached infamy for the type of content posted on it. This marks the fortieth time Loxia Nuctium makes the news in this publication for an immoral public stunt. However, she alleges that yesterday's stunt was a complete accident. "My cellphone signal was really poor on the beach, so I flew up high to get a better signal, but as I flew, my bikini came undone. It's so annoying, I couldn't find my top. I also nearly got hit by a delivery drone." Explained Loxia when asked for comment after meeting with the authorities. When she was asked about defending her own actions about her website which features, amongst other revolting material, complete and detailed pictures, videos and live streams of predation involving herself as the dominant subject, she answered: "I don't see what's wrong with it. If you don't want to end up in my stomach or on my website, perhaps don't be such pushovers or move elsewhere. If you're not happy with that, send me more hate mail. I don't care." These comments further sparked outrage within the anti-predator communities. Loxia has shown not to be above going after her critics in the past. The controversial figure went so far as to release personal information and even targeted the family of some of her more hostile opponents herself, at least one of which ended up being featured on her website in a live stream. The comments came at a bad time in the midst of a losing battle to reinstate the PRSDA (Prey Right to Safety and Dignity Act) which would provide individuals with more available opportunities to live in "prey-safe" environments with further restricting predation in cities and towns by protecting some areas outside of workplace and personal properties as well as providing guidelines for what constitute offensive acts regarding predations. "It's certain that in any just world, Loxia Nuctium wouldn't be allowed to put on display the brutal final moments of her victims in such a sadistic and immoral manner. Regardless of their typing, laws regarding predation must be more strict, it is only fair. I would go as far as to say that Loxia shouldn't be allowed to live." Sarah Minks, the representant of the APAG (Anti-Predation Advocacy Group) said in a comment on the story last night, something which is likely to put her in hot water.
Cost of living in predator-free cities skyrocketing
This year sees another price hike in the costs of living for cities that ban predators. Economists link the problem to a simple supply/demand issue. The demand for living in completely safe cities is higher than what is available. Despite predation rates being rather low, stories are more prevalant and the public perception on safety has shifted in a negative way.
Hell birds: Noctium variant
Hell bird demis are a variant of the bird demi. They account for less than 1% of the specie and are as such extremely rare in the world. As the name implies, the specie originated in Hell, however a common misconception is that they are related to demons or are evil in nature. Hell birds are usually scavengers, they are capable of devouring and digesting anything physical or spiritual. Their body is so adapted to feeding on anything that they can ingest objects that are slightly above their size whole. The Nuctium variant however is predatory in nature, and possesses certain special traits that helps them in that regard. Most notably is their innate ability to use necromancy in various ways. Nuctiums are proficient with slowing and stopping the process of death in themselves and others, allowing for a lethally wounded prey to be used as bait for other live ones. They also use necromancy to detect living preys as well as souls which are necessary food for their growth. Because Nuctiums are virtually impossible to get rid of due to their near immortality and reincarnation powers, coupled with their need to eat souls, they are classified as type "S" predators and are amongst the biggest target of anti-predator legislation. Their necromancy also include various afflictions and curses such as blindness, weakness and so on to help them overcome though preys by crippling them. Nuctiums also benefit from exceptional physical strength, physical resilience, good night vision, disease, poison, heat and radiation immunities. Their flight speed was recorded as having a top speed of 332kph while diving, the record being held by Loxia herself. They are capable of cushioning any flight at any speed almost instantly. These combined factors make this variant of hell bird a top predator.
Predator typing under scrutiny
The typing system used to determine a given predator's potential impact on society has become a talking point again. Some suggesting that type "S" predators should be strictly forced to feed only as much as required. Some are also questioning the simplicity of the typing system as it is used in so many legislation (municipal or otherwise). The types are as follow: "S" for predators that require a significant amount of live preys to be sacrificed for their sustenance or predators that feed on souls (a "+" is added depending how many preys they require by orders of magnitude, any predators above "S+" is considered unsustainable and are usually removed), "A" is for predators that require live preys to be sacrificed in order for them to sustain themselves (Under "S", a "-" is added for predators who can feed from preys without them dying such as some vampiric predators), "B" is for predators that get cravings for live preys but who can survive on other sources of food that do not endanger members of society, "C" is for predators that can feed on live preys but who can do perfectly fine without resorting to eating other members of society.
