Slammed against the wall of the cavern laboratory, willing himself to be as thin as possible. The Demon Kings' Menagerie, a Hellish group created by Olepiah , were in hot pursuit of him. He could hear infernal roars and the grinding of metal, but it was in silence he made his move. He took in a great breath of air air to steel himself before he burst from the wall and made a mad dash to the exit. He could hear the rain outside, but also the triumphant howls as several creatures took off after him. He ran to the exit, skidding to a stop once he realized this cave overhung a lake that appeared a good half a mile down. He gulped as he considered what to do. A fall from this height, even into water; would most assuredly kill him.. But so too would the things coming up behind him. He closed his eyes, and leaped.
Lucas was a young man of 25 when he was pulled from his home in Nexus Park. He had a guest that night, a strange mechanical being he met while walking the Docks after his shift at the security office was over. So intrigued was he that he invited the individual he later came to know as
Mechanicus Deus to his home to escape the elements of the night. After inquiring what it was and how it came to be here of all places, he learned of an individual named
Olepiah , a being of apparent Godlike power. As he drifted to sleep with the robot seeming intent on how his television worked, he uttered the name of the being that had made Deus.. Olepiah.
When next he woke, he was strapped to a table and could see nothing. He paniced at first, thinking something aweful must of happened, but then remembering the tales told to him by Deus of a place like this.. A Hellish place wherein creatures were made into..
something else entirely . He cried out for aid, and was answered with a blow to the head by an unseen force. He awoke later in a cell, and after shaking off the effects (and checking to make sure he was intact) he would go to the cell door. He tested it, and it was indeed strong steel placed into the walls. He got a mad idea to try to bash his way out, and to his shock as he slammed his shoulder into the door.. It worked! The door flew away in a tangled mass of bent steel and he blinked, never knowing he had such power. Then the beasts came.. And he ran. Thus, now.. You find him here.
So what is he? He's not human, he knows that much about himself; but he believes himself to be. He has no idea what
Olepiah did to him, as he escaped before being shown what was done to him. However, there are a few things that will give the observer a clue as to what he is. For one, he wears a set of sunglasses given to him by
Daniel_Wolfen after helping him build his house; and he will NOT take them off. What lies behind those glasses?? For another, the man seems nigh indestructible. He survived a half mile free fall to the Earth, without any broken bones; and he seems to never sleep. Do you really want to probe further? Well, a single image remains of what hides behind those sunglasses.. ((Your character does not know this. Ever. For the sake of role play, he's just a normal human until proven otherwise))
By appearance he is totally human, and if you ask him he will say the same. But the scent following him, and the wary way he watches others betrays he might be more than what he seems. He wears a black coat he managed to snatch from the lab on his way out, and a set of black leather boots
Daniel_Wolfen was kind enough to let him have. He woke up wearing his black jeans, meaning that aside from the mentioned items, he carries nothing that could tie himself to his former life. He wears no shirt, and no one as of yet has seen him without his new clothes. Only adding to the mystery of what exactly Olepiah did to him...
A few things of note about him, should you decide you'd like to know more; is aside from his guarded nature and overall paranoia concerning the powerful; the mere mention of the name Olepiah will instill a terror in him that has no equal. He will stop what he's doing, and he will run as far as he can, as quickly as he can. He seems to show no preference insofar as partners go, but if your a magical creature: He will purposely avoid you unless given no option.
Recent Events:
Lucas helped
Daniel_Wolfen finish his house shortly after he found out about his "condition". He has yet to tell anyone about it, and probably wont; but Dan was nice enough to let him take a room downstairs for helping him finish the house; rent free. He now 'works' as the bouncer for the random events Dan likes to host at his not-so-humble abode.
His machine half took 'root' in his mind, establishing a permanent and irrevocable connection that would cause his death should the new "body" be removed. This has its perks though, as it now has also wired into his reflexes, drasticly improving his reaction time and strength as the computerized "core" of his improvements hardwired into his brain. It could calculate the best leverage and torque to apply to any of the hydralics that now comprise his muscle structure; allowing him to overpower much larger creatures than himself. Of course this also makes him more machine than man, as his mind took on a more calculating approach to the world around him; assessing risk factors and success probabilities as only a machine could. This makes him a bit more.. neutral, to the world around him. But also, far more deadly should something upset the 'man'.
His Jacket
His Hat (Easily his favorite possession: Don't Fuck With The Hat!!)
What lies behind those sunglasses..
((You may notice my lack of having all the sliders available for you to see. That is on purpose. I see no fun in the players knowing or even having an idea where the scene is going to go; or knowing personality quirks and details about the character in question. I'm all for you actually interacting with me to discuss such things. That is all))
