tl;dr: mute shiny alolan ninetales. voice ruined in Her Youth by human poachers probably. she doesn't really remember it very well. and doesn't really get a lot of human customs. in her past, she was confused for a deity and at first she hated all of the strangers coming to her mountain and visiting her, but then she realised they were leaving treats and that they were pretty tasty, so she'd accept them and their free food. She posed as their goddess for years, just staring at them with a smile, despite not really knowing what they were talking about. Occasionally, she'd pinch a nose or tug an ear and the silly humans always acted like they were so happy that she'd do those things and would bring better treats afterwards (It turns out, the humans thought that she was blessing them). Eventually, her make-shift disciples left her to her solitude, so she started coming down her mountain to visit THEM instead and actually gained a ton of popularity somehow. She's sort of a celebrity on her island and she doesn't really understand why but she enjoys all the clout that comes with it.
