In this vast and mysterious world of ours exist many myths are legends told by many of the inhabitants of this world. Some are plausible and some are quite hard to believe but they all have one thing in common: All are quite amazing and amusing to hear or read about. One such legend told thoughout the many corners of the world is the legend about the creation of the floating continent,Cirius. Far, far to the east, existed a land wracked by chaos and evil. Descending from the heavens were the goddesses, Aki and Aya, the goddesses of creation. The two were unable to tolerate the state of the land below so, they decided to do something about it.

The goddesses blessed the land, cleansing it of evil and wickedness and to prevent evil beings from reverting it back to the way it was before, lifted the area of land off the ground and high into the sky. With their work done, Aki and Aya departed, leaving behind a couple of statues of themselves, each holding an orb in thier hands. The orbs which where red and blue respectively, contained power that rivaled that of the goddesses that created the floating continent and in order to maintain peace and stability on the continent, the statues faced away from each other, the statues exuded a blessed aura. It was as if the goddesses themselves had blessed it.

The people of the country saw how important those statues were and enshrined them with care. The shrine lies at the heart of the capital of Cirius: Stratus Point. Cirius was a land above the clouds, a peaceful place that consists of several floating islands, forests that contained a unique ecosystem that was exclusive to that county, fertile soil that allowed for the inhabitants that lived there to grow crops with ease and since food was so plentiful up there, it was for free! But the only things the inhabitants had to pay for was the rare items that were found by the inhabitants that ventured down to the surface to search for rare items or to obtain goods from the towns and citites down there.

The technology on the continent was slightly more advanced than tech found anywhere else, the reason behind this being, the inhabitants enjoyed creating useful inventions for those on the surface and those in the other cities of the sky to enjoy and to make life easier.
Machi Maha and her best friend, Nimbi was born and raised in the capitol city of Stratus Point, located on the central island on the continent. Now, Machi wasn't very social growing up since she was quite shy and as a result it was hard for her to make friends but while out and about playing in the woods, is where she met her first friend, Nimbi, the dog girl.

She encountered Nimbi lazing under an apple tree, asleep, like a typical cute dog. Machi, being quite nervous was reluctant to approach Nimbi at first but managed to bring herself to do so, needless to say, she stumbled and fell onto the dog, waking her up. She wasn't very happy. After a few minutes of profuse apology for the mishap, all was forgiven. Though, Machi was quite shy, she'd begin to open up as she got to know Nimbi and by the time she left the forest, heading for home with Nimbi tailing behind her, she had became less shy.

Machi hung out with Nimbi on the following days, playing and getting to know each other as time went on and soon they became the closest of friends! Things were reletively peaceful on the floating continent but it wouldn't stay this way for long.

A certain group was interested in the advanced technology of the floating continent and had planned to take it all and any of the inventions and blueprints. With that tech they could carry out thier future schemes with relative ease. This group was known as the Sky Raiders and their leader, Slate was a cold, egomanical man who had his own scheme planned out, one that even his men didn't know about.

Hell, half of them didn't even know what they were doing half the time! Slate had researched the legend on the creation of Cirius and what he found out was very interesting, he learned that a couple of goddesses had created the very continent and that they had left behind a couple of statues, those that contained power rivaling those of the creation goddesses and he aspired to obtain that power for himself and afterwards, he planned to create an empire for himself, one in which he could rule over the world with an iron fist and strike down those who dared to opose him. Of course, his men wouldn't be a part of his empire, to him, his men were nothing but pawns in ensuring that his plan succeeded.

The raiders next target was Stratus Point and unfortunately for the inhabitants there, they were rather peaceful and didn't really fight. Good for the Sky Raiders and bad for the residents who would be taken by complete surprise by thier cordinated attack, one group began to pillage the city of the many advanced inventions and blueprints to create them. The other went towards the shrine which was under protection by the city's guards. The guards fought valiantly but their efforts were for naught as they were defeated and tossed aside, allowing for Slate and his group to enter into the shrine were the two statues sat.

Machi and Nimbi were at her house, cowering as the Sky Raiders invaded the city. Though, Mochi was scared, she decided to do something to protect the city that she lived in. Like a hero in the shadows, she made her way into the shrine with a nervous Nimbi tailing behind her. Within the shrine were the statues of the goddesses of creation, the two witnessed Slate moved the statues so they faced each other, their power was now open for him to take it and all he needed to do now was step in between them: And that's what he did. Unable to let Slate get away with his plan, Machi broke into a sprint towards the statues, pushing one towards Slate and pinning him against the one behind him, trapping him.

It seemed as all was over but what Machi and Nimbi didn't know was that moving the statues out of the position that they were in currently would cause something of catastrophic proportions to happen.... As Slate began to push the statue in front of him away, he'd be paralyzed suddenly by a pulse of energy from the statue of Aya. Seems as if Machi had inadvertedly caused the magic that protected the continent to go out of control from those statues being moved out of position and as a result, went out of control and began to reshape the very continent, destroying many of the citiies and settlements. Needless to say that the continent looked radically different that day.

A few years after that disasterous day, the people had rebuilt steadily and doing that time Machi lived in a small town near the city in which she used to live with her family. Though, she was rather worried, she hadn't seen her friend Nimbi at all, not since the day that the magic of those goddess statues ran amok. She'd search the surrounding land and eventually found her friend, seems as if the dog girl had became separated from her parents on that day, the two embraced.

It wasn't too long that the two took one of the airships parked close to the town they lived in and left the continent together. The two traveled the skies together, exploring before landing in a forest clearing far from the Nexus. The two built a modest cabin in the clearing and is where they now reside and can be found. Though, Machi isn't here all the time, she frequently takes the airship and explores the skies, the neko can be found in one of the many cities that dot the skies or somewhere fun and interesting!

Personality:
Shy. ((Though, she isn't as shy after having met her friend, Nimbi.)) cautious, sweet, kind, innocent and slightly mischivous at times. This is what describes Machi who tries her hardest to make friends but her shyness deters her way from doing so. When she musters up the courage to approach someone new, one of two things may happen: The conversation may go normally and she'll try to befriend the person or the most likely outcome that'll happen is that she'll make a fool of herself. You see, Machi is what one would call a typical klutz, accidents are bound to happen whenever she's around. Give her a vase to hold? She'll most likely drop it, shattering it into pieces. Simply put, it is rare for her to do something with her accidentally messing something up which at times annoy those around her but due to her cute and innocent nature, is able to be forgiven by those that she annoys by her being a klutz. Though her friend, Nimbi is used to her klutzy nature. Whenever she encounters or tries something new, she is a little cautious and hesitant on doing it, even being a little indecisive at times when cautious about trying or doing new things. Fun loving as well, when she is out and about, she occasionally looks for ways to have fun, from mischief making though, she doesn't get into too much mischief that might get her into trouble. To visiting places, such as the arcade, the comic book store, the movies, the beach. Why, she might be found in a local park, lazing about somewhere, napping most likely!


Powers and abilities:

Feather pendant: This pendant is something that she found while out and about searching for her friend Nimbi, this pendant seems to exude a strange mystical power. ((Though, she is unaware of its power as she can't sense magic...yet.)) This pendant seems to be a good luck charm of sorts. The neko is seen wearing it almost all the time, tucking it under her shirt to hide it from the prying eyes of others, her cautious nature makes it hard for her to take it off or to let others examine it close out of fear that they might steal it from her.

Reformation: One ability of the mysterious pendant that she found allows her to reform upon her demise, this pendant also allows for her to reform others should they meet their own demise. Whenever Machi is reformed with the effects of her feather pendant, she reawakens in her bed back the house that her friend Nimbi and herself live in. Though, she'll have no recollection of the time before waking up in her bed, beliving the events prior to that were simply a dream.
