This character is a fanchar by Girlcollection based on the 'Grisaia' visual novels, an adult VN series mainly taking place in a school in a small, fictional Japanese city (all rights reserved by Frontwing). However, this char is not an exact copy, but rather one that got inspired by their Grisaia counterpart, a tribute to it so to say. The personality, behavior and appearance will match, but Mihama Academy and the chars inhabiting it are located in Nexus, having been created there. In particular, the history (and due to that, the trauma and resulting mental problems) will not be shared between the Grisaia characters and the Nexus ones made by me. Regardless, some bits and pieces will be mentioned to properly explain and present the character. Naturally, that will mean there will be some SPOILERS!. Proceed with caution, have a nice time and hopefully enjoyable roleplays!

Makina Irisu is the (former) child prodigy of an extremely influental, filthy rich family - the Irisu clan, controlling wide portions of Japan's enterprises with strong ties to corporation world-wide. Well, that is true for 'Grisaia' Makina, at least. This instance of the girl is a being created in the Nexus by a powerful deity, shaped and molded in reference to the gal in the Grisaia series. She has the same personality and appearance, but didn't experience the same history, although she has a hazy memory of the events her 'template' went through - but regardless, a brief overview of Makina's history will be provided.

Makina never had a 'normal' childhood - one day, she was to inherit the multi-billion dollar conglomerate of her family, and so she grew up in a sheltered environment. Even her mother barely showed any affection towards her daughter, as the girl was more seen as an asset rather than a person. Makina showed remarkable promise and had an impressive, peculiar ability - eidetic memory. She can recall something she saw with stunning accurancy, as if a picture of it begins to form in her field of view, and then interpret the contents of said image projection. For example, she can recall the pages of a book and use that to read it as if the book were right in front of her - essentially learning the contents of it by heart. However, Makina's childhood was soon violently disrupted.

Her father, the only one ever showing real love towards Makina, learned of corruption in the ranks of the Irisu family. Someone powerful on the inside got wind of it, and a scheme was devised to get rid of him. Makina was kidnapped, and her father was told to bring ransom money and the proof he had collected for the crimes of the Irisu. Desperate, he did as told and met with the gangsters - only to be shot in front of his daughter. Makina had to watch her father slowly bleed to death, and it took five long days before she was found and rescued, five days Makina spent chained to a pillar next to the body of her parent. The Irisu had a main family (which Makina was from), and a side branch - and the side branch hoped to get one of their own into the position as heir, so they deliberately went slow on retrieving Makina. The once aspiring genius had a mental breakdown and was consequently hospitalized.

The anxiety and trauma had wounded Makina deeply, and it took some years till she was able to properly speak again. Towards strangers, she was extremely shy and nervous, the fear nearly paralyzing her. When she finally was in a state where she could leave the hospital, it became obvious she could not go to a normal school anymore - and so the side family quietly enrolled her in Mihama, officially claiming she was still being treated. Interestingly enough, Makina's behavior with friends and people she trusted was completely different than her meek, scared demeanor towards strangers, but it is unclear if her trauma caused this, or if this was her nature anyway. In that state, Makina almost shows ADHD-like traits - she is hyperactive, giddy, can's sit still, is overly energetic, easily gets fascinated and bored by something, and has a fast speech pattern.

The Nexus version of Makina is pretty much her over-active default state with friends, while the shy aspect is far, far less developed. Of course, she is a bit hesitant and reserved at first, but it does not last very long, and it feels less lika Makina is crushed under her anxiety, and more that she is a bit wary at the start. Like the rest at Mihama, she can reform, and also got vorish abilities, and so she participates in the vorish fun time clients can book as pred or prey. Although Makina in Nexus is not as helpless as her Grisaia template, two things ended up the same. First, Makina relies a lot on Amane_Suou_GC, almost treating her like a foster mother who looks after her and prepares her meals. Second, Makina instantly became friends with Sachi_Komine_GC - then best friends, and later, they even shared some moments of pleasure now and then, their deep bond strengthening even more. As Makina is bisexual, and always feels more comfortable around someone she trusts and is familiar with, this works pretty nicely.

Her behavior might remind someone of a humming top - Makina is always on the move, active and bouncy, until she runs out of steam, gets slower and slower before flopping down and taking a nap right in the middle of the day. She is childish, giddy, babbly and a real bundle of energy (until her figurative 'battery' runs dry, at least). The girl has serious issues sitting on her seat for long or holding still, she blurts out her thoughts the moments they enter her mind (with her speech being so fast that she frequently jumbles the pronounciation), and she does not hold back at all. At times, this can get on the nerves of the others, but due to her cute looks and the optimistic, happy mood she inspires, usually it turns out alright. Makina has a wild imagination and easily gets fascinated with something - but often, gets bored quickly as well. That being said, if something really is stuck on her mind, the small girl shows great determination and is willing to make a serious effort for it. However, nobody can tell what the next idea might be that Makina gets fixated on, given her spontaneous nature and carefree, fun-loving, open minded attitude. The gal has a habit of imitating those she cares about at times, trying to talk like them (which is where her lewd, foul language comes from, thanks to Amane) or do the things they do (which is where her fascination with guns and the military comes from, as she emulates Yuuji_Kazami_GC). Surprisingly enough, she actually showed natural talent in handling rifles, and so Yuuji began to give her actual training and instructions (first with airsoft guns, but later with actual live ammunition and real firearms). Due to being so hyperactive, Makina burns a lot of calories, leading to a usually healthy appetite - and since she now has vorish abilities, she likes to supplement her diet with a filling, full-sized person now and then. Of course, she is still a bit reserved when she meets someone for the first time, but normally that passees quickly.

Appearance-wise, Makina could easily be confused for someone younger than the 16 years she is actually old. She is short with a cute, diminutive frame. Her curves are only very modestly developed, and her body is slim and sleek, but not dangerously thin or underweight. Her slightly round, adorable face compliments those looks, and even her attire fits into the picture. The red and black dress she usually wears looks rather nice on her, some ribbons are located in her light-brown colored, short hair, and her eyes are colored in peculiar shade of pink. She normaly wears thigh-high socks in different colors, and sneakers go along with it (but occasionally, she has been wearing boots as well). The cute, harmless looks are a bit misleading though - Makina is surprisingly enduring, has good reflexes and is rather dextrous. She can put up a fight if she has to, and is potentially able to overwhelm even grown adults if they underestimate her.
