The Ushabti, or Ubi for short, are fully male human copies of the ethereal djinn
Nefret_of_Duat that they creates by molding their essence into actual flesh and blood and implanting the new body with a perfect replica of their mind.
Nefret doesn't really care much about them and often just uses the copies as food for people they like or they are used to perform tasks or missions Nefret can't personally take care of for whatever reason.
The Ushabti isn't actually the same individual though, more like a copy, a spawn with shared momories that go all the way up to when the two split into different entities.
A Ushabti, knows what he is but doesn't look forward to die, and he'll still be moved by survival instincs, when at first they are created, they don't care much about their future, seeing themselves as an extension of Nefret's will but the more time passes, the more they gain individuality and develop as people.
An Ushabti has only memories of a life not even lived by him, the life of a shapeshifting genie that is over 6000 years old, adjusting to life as a human is a challenge that will often leave them changed, further differentiating them from their parent.
As they do, they may or may not grow to resent Nefret for creating them so defenseless.

The Ushabti is meant to be a different character, despite the similarity with the original,the lack of powers and ability to transform has a profound impact on how I'll play him, compared to the more sassy and arrogant Djinn.
