Optimism has always been extremely cheerful, much to his brother's dismay. He loves meeting new people and has, for the most part, made friends fairly easily. His magnetic personality draws people in

Despite this, he is... Incredibly lonely. Though he makes friends easily, his personality often times ends up driving people away. Because of this, though he tries his best not to show it, he is extremely clingy and insecure and tries his best to keep people near him, even if it means, well, devouring them.

Through the years, no matter how far Pessimism has gone, and no matter how hard he's tried to push Optimism away, the latter always clings to the former. Optimism loves his brother and longs to be able to be close to him.
