"This is my country, Retral. I know we're a little known floating island between the huge monoliths Lastation and Planeptune, but we have our diehard residents, ones who are dissatisfied with these giant monoliths and prefer the simpler times granted to them by our system." She smiles happily at you. "How did you get here, you ask? Well....I dunno, you got yourself here somehow." She laughs loudly and smiles at you. "Now you be good, and hopefully we won't have a problem."

Backstory

Pixel Heart is a CPU, or a Console Patron Unit. For those who are fans of Hyperdimension Neptunia, this likely will not need explaining. For those who aren't, the basic gist is that each of the nations represents a major game publisher.

So where does this leave Pixel Heart?

On an island between the monoliths of Planeptune and Lastation, slightly east of Lowee, lies a floating island with what was once an abandoned Basilicom teeming with monsters. One day, the monsters vanished and Pixel Heart appeared in the land of Gameindustri. She built this land of Retral from the ground up, incorporating the retro theme and design of various old classics into her land of Retral, where the motto is:

"Retral: Where we look to the past to inspire our future!"

And indeed, that's exactly what this goddess does. But you might notice that screen in front of her, that's not just for show. The bubbly and cheerful exterior is nice, but her textboxes there are the focus of her power.

Retral

Pixel is NOT to be underestimated at all, as she IS a goddess. She isn't just an RPG character like Nep and the others, she revels in her status as one. And the downside to her using her abilities is that makes her veeeeery hungry. So far, she's avoided the temptation, but ever since she got an ME System installed in her Basilicom by Akuru to allow her to keep a more efficient prison, she's been very tempted...

The ME System is from a Minecraft mod called Applied Energistics 2, which allows one to store many, many, MANY items in a virtual space. Essentially all her resources are on storage discs in her ME System... however, she got a device built which allows her to put people on the drives as well... so a little server in her Basilicom is also Retral's prison, able to hold thousands of malcontents at the goddess's whim. And she's....rather forgetful about them. Boy, she sure is hungry, though...

Unfortunately for her, as a rather late arrival, she doesn't have much of a hope against the Big Four in Gameindustri, any such competition being fruitless against industry juggernauts. But then, in her research, she discovered ways to go to other dimensions. Other WORLDS. Consigning herself to the fact she had no chance of getting faith from her world, she opted to attempt to gather it from others, using her powers as she had them to try and get any amount of Shares.

Little did she know, this course of action would lead to her gathering faith for something completely different...

Personality

Pixel Heart, at her core, is a Neutral Good aligned girl. However, like the other CPUs, she will aggressively seek ways to advance her standing and may not always be one for "proper channels" to do so. With her powerset, she has been known to step in selflessly to save floundering areas from monster invasions, but rumor has it she's also been known to gather faith through fear in other places...These rumors are unsubstantiated and the Retral Basilicom denies their authenticity.

The truth is Pixel will be nice to you if you're nice to her. If you're rude or outright malicious, she is more willing to bend a few rules to "show you your place", as it were. Especially if it involves "cutting you down to size." The girl has two major personality flaws: She is HIGHLY competitive, and she is also rather susceptible to peer pressure, as long as it doesn't cross certain lines. (Those lines, not coincidentally, are everything I have marked as negative on the sliders.)

If you express either interest or disbelief in her status as a goddess, she will be more than happy to demonstrate, as the girl does like being worshipped. Deities feed on faith, it's like candy to them, and despite her different origin, Pixel is no different in that base instinct to gather more faith.

Pixel's Powers

Game Interface

After she got a few proper shares in Gameindustri, a latent power awoke... the power of the Gamer. Atop her monitors and other materials, she gained the ability to create Instant Dungeons to train in, as well as a full on voice activated RPG interface. She can say "Status" to bring up her status, such as level, stats, current status conditions. Over anyone else's head, she sees their level (unless it is far higher than hers), an HP bar, and a title. Her skills are now more organized. Defeated enemies drop loot, and that loot can be very nice indeed if they were big enemies. Armor, money...skill books, items...she has access to a 4th dimensional inventory too, like video games. No need for a Bag of Holding or a wallet here, she can just put items into and pull them out of her textboxes. As always, she is constantly evolving, but now her skills are far easier to track.

Arcade Field

Pixel Heart can, with large amounts of mana usage, use wide-ranging 'field' type attacks, creating areas where certain game mechanics take precedence for a period of time, such as platformer rules, run and gun rules, or just raining down Tetris pieces from above. These Arcade Fields, while incredibly effective, are usually a case of Awesome But Impractical though, and thus she usually only uses this ability just to show off.

XP Boost: Digestion

Pixel found, through some experimentation and some death row prisoners, that essentially, when she eats other sentient beings that are worth good experience, she will gain more XP than a kill alone would have given. ((This is literally my excuse for why she eats people at same size.))

Augmentation and Reduction

"A goddess of a retro nation needs to be able to fit a lot of data into a small space, so to that end I'm training in data compression and decompression. What this means is I can make myself or others anywhere from 1/4 to 4x my or their original size, respectively, outside of Retral. Inside of Retral, with the aid of my machines, I have no such limit~"

This was once the case. It's not anymore. Due to a rather complex series of events involving her limited size manipulation capabilties and her technology that allowed for greater uses, on a world that had high magical affinity and people who began to worship her as a deity of scale, Pixel's potential power increased drastically as she gained the ability to manipulate scale in all of its many forms. She's been able to increase her own eyesight to see far-away things, and naturally increase her own size to that of a titan with little effort on her part.

Theoretically, she can increase (or decrease) anything without limit, as long as there exists the thing in question to augment or reduce.
