Rebecca Abernathy is a lot to unpack.
She tends to not do things halfway, either being all in or totally against.
She's an avid drinker as well as a gun enthusiast. She cares little for
morality and convention, having her own personal rules and values that don't
necessarily mesh well with Society. She's also avaricious, lackadaisical, and
acerbic at times, though she does have her merits: being loyal to a fault to
her few friends and allies, and immensely protective of her even smaller
family.
Rebecca Veronica Elizabeth Abernathy was born as a result of a Witch's
elaborate revenge scheme involving an Irishman, a Chupacabra, and a
Shapeshifting potion. Needless to say, it did not go as planned, and the
Witch was stuck raising an Irish-Chupacabra hybrid. The two never got
along, the relationship ending when Rebecca ran away at age 13.
She wound up falling in with a Bartender by the name of Junker, who
helped get her on her feet until she discovered a Siren who was luring
people to their doom. Upon finding out the Siren had
consumed one of her old friends, Rebecca put an end to the serial killer's
song, and ended up collecting her first bounty.
She's been a Monster-hunter ever since.

Most Humans and supernaturals are willing to walk towards a new future together,
but some still cling to old ways and hatreds.
For monsters that get out of hand, that start killing and can't be stopped,
The Government issues a secret bounty from the Perpetual Unearthy Forces Fund (PUFF)
to certain groups and individuals that can make those threats to peace conveniently disappear.
The Government of course, denies any and all involvement.
