In Maxine's setting, the rules of nature take a key place. Only the strong survive, but strength comes in many forms, including numbers, wits, personality, size, or connections. Some forms of strength are mre useful in a pred eat pred world, leading to a class based system. Predators are classed A through F, akin to grades in a school. Top predators go in A, with less potent predators going down in ranks to barely predator capable people at F. These 'Vore' people target non 'Vore' prey and 'Vore' predators to try and increase their rank, or just whet their appetite.
Maxine is a class A predator. This means she is cream of the crop, and not because of her size or stature. Instead, Maxine has the mindset and attitude of an alpha. Her mentality hides weakness behind a fort of confidence. Most people would view her as a 'bitch' in this sense. In reality, she rejects most emotion as weakness, and believes a bossy, slightly pompous attitude is akin to strength. She does have a weakness and a kinder, gentler side, but absolutely refuses to show it anywhere she deems dangerous. That is very well connected to why the upper classman is dating an 'inferior' predator, as is the case with Maxine and Bailey. It may appear that Bailey is kept on a leash, but something happened between the two that changed their destinies and tied them together.
Maxine has adopted the status of being the 'queen bee' to the class. Predators that may seem stronger or better than her even fall to her graces. What she lacks in strength she makes up for in spunk and spirit.
Maxine is a bossy, confident person who lives up to her title of the queen bee. Being a 'Vore' is a tool she can use to get what she wants from 'lesser' predators and prey. Maxine uses it as a mechanism for control, to keep other students in check under her watch. It's no exaduration to say has about one fourth of the school body under her control. Despite this, Maxine seems to favor the company of lesser predators the most, thiugh whether this is due to attitude, or because of some fascination with them. Of all she favors the company of Bailey, who is often seen as her girlfriend. While she certainly shows a bossyness towards Bailey, there is a distinct connection to her that makes Maxine go out of the way to keep her off limits to other predator.
Outside of her status ofbeing a 'Vore' Maxine is taken to music. She is actually pretty good at playing electric and bass guitars. Her talent, along with her status, keep her as a front of the school rock group. Some refer to the band as Maxine and the Drones, but its official name is the Honeycombs. Despite Maxine's reputation, and infamy, the band seems to get along well. It even includes a full prey girl as the vocalist, showing Maxine can get along with other classman should they be useful. Outside of music, Maxine is average as a student, though uses her drones as a means to pass class at the top rank.
Maxine has weaknesses, but they are carefully guarded. People already know one, as her dating Bailey shows. Maxine is lesbian, through and through. Male classmates are simply food to her, but being a girl gets a far better treatment. Her other, not so open weakness, though, is her affinity to lower class predators. Bailey is a lower class predator, sure, but People think that being the last thing Maxine cares about in her girlfriend. In truth, Maxine has intense desire, though hidden through strong willpower, to be bested by someone 'lower' than she is. Bailey had achieved that when Maxine took Bailey to get rid of her, being a popular student. Maxine wont say it even to Bailey, But when Bailey did... things to Maxine that day, it was the best day of her life. Anyone who trys to get her into a vulnerable position will have a hard time though, unless they figure out how Bailey did it.
