Sheldon was never much for conflict, but he wasn't an idiot. He always knew that one day, he would probably need to defend himself, and because of it, the hobby he took up was the art of the balisong (butterfly knife).

He is by no means a fearsome warrior, however. In fact, besides his balisong mastery, his only combat-worthy skill is his ability to perform ukemis. Partly because of his uselessness as a fighter, he is often kind to those he encounters, only keeping his guard up solely from paranoia. After wandering to this strange world, he realizes that it's better to have friends than enemies. The problem is that sometimes he'll have an enemy, like it or not.

After some time in the park, he has developed a "defensive position". If a friendly approach gets a negative response, he is able to project a lot of confidence and awareness with no visible drawbacks, but this is an extremely frail facade. Any push or prolonged use of this persona will leave him emotionally vulnerable. This isn't a supernatural ability in any way, merely an extension of most people's natural ability to have emotional masks.

The concept of being eaten alive is totally alien to him, while being on the other end would never so much as cross his mind, and makes him feel ill when mentioned. More engaging was an additional dilemma he discovered. While being trapped in a park full of...oddities, to say the least, was troubling, worse was his new curse.

Whenever Sheldon comes too close to a micro, his body is reduced to its size. Even if he breaks away, this takes 30 minutes to wear off, which can be renewed by another exposure. On the plus side, it is more of an increase in density than a loss of mass, meaning that his full strength is not only retained, but increased, and he becomes indigestible. Lately, this seems to have a few other, seemingly random triggers.
Really, there's no telling if he'll be normal sized or micro at any given time, but he is learning to shrink on command.

He also is physically trapped. For whatever reason, the borders of the park are surrounded by invisible walls to him. Even if something were to consume him and attempt to leave, it would be more likely to disembowel itself than succeed. He suspects an evil wizard is responsible for this.

Due to his shyness, Sheldon has never had a girlfriend and so is still a virgin. While he isn't proud of this fact, he is extremely defensive of it, and unwanted sexual advances could easily become grounds for the knife to come out.

Being in unfamiliar enough territory, Sheldon makes an effort to avoid the often-towering animal-people he sees on occasion, and instead looks for humans to ask for help in escaping. He will socialize with inhumans, but likely with his knife raised for the first half-hour, and only to kind ones.

While any ally would be a relief to him, he is more trusting around females, as they tend to be more sensitive and approachable. It is unlikely, but if he trusted a female predator enough, he might even allow himself to be consumed, though never digested.

Conversely, he is more hostile to males on a subconscious level, and though he has never been pushed very far, there is a fair chance he would slash first and ask questions later should one attempt to ingest him.

Since arriving at the park, he has forged somewhat of a resolve to learn magic, although so far he knows virtually nothing.

Encounters
He has vowed revenge on Minx after being caught off guard and engulfed by her. While he realizes she means no harm, she now must learn what it's like to go from 0 to helpless in five seconds.

He has found a new friend in Vivace, who hopefully will be able to help him solve a few of his problems in return for his dedication to the cause of locating her father.

After meeting the naga Lillium, Sheldon has determined that she's completely harmless, to him at least. He also suspects that she'd greatly enjoy finding him in a vulnerable state.

Thanks to a rather disturbing encounter with the still-benevolent Vikki_Fox, Sheldon can leave the park, but only to other dimensions. Currently, this is useless.

A stroke of nearly-fatal bad luck led the poor boy into a handful of Mochii's chips, and subsequently into her stomach. He's rattled even after his nocturnal escape, but at least now he knows that his micro form is impervious to acid.

Little_Flare and her mother figure have helped him delve into the secret of his restraining barrier. Apparently, despite his immense outer desire to escape, subconsciously he has a fairly potent grasp of magic and a reason to stay in the park. However, he isn't walling himself in alone...

Sheldon's pockets contain his only posessions, which so far are:
-His best balisong knife
-His wallet with $200 total and ID
-Pocket lint
-A unique wand that flips open like his balisong and essentially functions as a freely adjustable sword, but with magical energy. He was taught how to make it and provided the materials by Hannia_and_Hana. Mostly Hana.
-One of Chiyoko's herbal cigarettes.
-A coupon for free mozzarella sticks and ravioli at Skitters's restaurant.
- A glowing crystal flower Loret gave him to use as a focus for druidic magic.

Former items
-Several hard candies he recieved earlier the day he arrived, but disliked. (Now traded to Mooncandy's mage friend in exchange for help in finding an escape.)
-"Nekomimi-in-a-can". Highly puzzling. Said to originate from "the vore shop" Sheldon was reasonably afraid to use it, but it and the live Neko inside saved him from Takini's appetite.
