Sprigin started out her life as the child of royal messagners, but quickly discovered she had magic flowing through her veins. She has a basic understanding of how to use her magic, but when her parents were kidnapped by a rival kingdom she quickly had to learn how to use it in a dangeous enviroment. Only with the help of some brave adventures were her parents saved, along with her limited magical talents. Sprigin now having a taste of adventure, decided that it was her calling. So began Sprigin's real adventure Travelling with her new found friends around the world, fighting, eating, drinking and long trecks becoming her normal.

Some Dumb powers i like but if they are not my partners thing I will ignore: Sprigin can connect with her pred mentally after ingestion and provide them nutrients without digesting, and even protects her from digesting herself. This also allows her to see out of her host's eyes, able to channel her magic through them.

Sprigin's Story

Sprigin Sunmane was born to two Hin (best known as hobbits or halflings) working for a royal court of in human lands. As Sprigin's parents told it, their family had been working in the court as messangers and general servants for over 10 generations. Sprigin thought this would be her life, only leaving the castle for a year in her 20s to find a husband before returning to replace her parents. However, the halfling dreamed of more, literally sometimes. Sprigin's sleep was filled with scenes of her flying over vast landscapes she had never seen before, in a body she was unfamiliar with, golden claws instead of hands in her vision. Sprigin felt like this meant something, but her parents assured her that it was just a childish dream. Once Sprigin was the age to return to the land of Hin to find a husband, Sprigin left her parents to court some men selected by the village her family originally came from. It was an honour to do this for the villagers since it would ensure a fed and clothed life if nothing else. Sprigin found most of her suitors boring, and honestly lacking in female options even if she did also like men.

Sprigin, after a night of particularly vivid dreaming, woke up to some weird itches all over her skin. As she scratched, he found her skin flake off to reveal a golden sheen underneath, some of her body beginning to develop scales. The halfling, normally not a reader, took to the villages small library of books, but couldn't find anything on a condition like this. Sprigin expressed her concerns to the librarian, who had been watching her as she read, who brought out the Sunmane family history book. Sprigin was surprised this existed at all, but soon she would find out why it was kept. This journey wasn't simply for her to find a mate, every once in awhile a sunmane reaching adulthood will begin to develop dragon like features, as the finally line originated with a dragon named Aurum Sunmane. She also learned that this often came with some magical abilities, which with some coaxing Sprigin was able to summon fire at will. The final page disturbed her tho, it was a contract between Aurum and the kingdom her , saying they would serve the kingdom and let any heirs like Sprigin become weapons for them. In exchange, the kingdom would keep the Sunmane line safe and secret so that competing Dragons couldn't kill Aurum's line.

Sprigin would struggle with more haunting draconic dreams after that, things she in hindsight realized was memories of her dragon ancestor Aurum, being used to destroy the kingdoms enemies, both military and civilian. Sprigin had a kind heart, and the idea that she could or would be put to a use like that sadden her deeply. The halfling let the time of her Journey out expire without finding a suitable suitor, dreading the idea of returning to the castle with the mark of a draconic heir. Sprigin decided instead to forge her own path, setting out on her own to master her own magic, find her own dream, and maybe even find her own love along the way.

It has been 5 years since then, and Sprigin couldn't have asked for more. As her powers developed, Sprigin found uses for them, first as a way to light a fire, then a short stint in a magic blacksmith shop ensuring the fire was hot as they needed. Sprigin never found staying in one place appealing, and so often left after feeling like things had started to stagnate. However, Sprigin did find something she could keep in the longterm, partnership with a few adventurers of similar mind. Along side her new friends (and occasionally lovers), the Hin goes into every day with an infectious optimizum, using her draconic magic to help those she can.
