TNO_Eris

"Dwarf planet? You have a funny way of pronouncing 'tenth', little child of Earth."

Eris... the largest of the five minor planets, and in a way the reason they exist at all. She and her moon Dysnomia are the furthest objects from the Sun (excepting a few comets, but surely something so puny can't possibly count, can they?) and take over five hundred years to orbit their parent star. Easily dwarfing the other four, Eris stands at nearly six feet in height and weighs in excess of two hundred pounds.

... the parka and cloak hide a lot, okay?

Eris is... for lack of a better word, cold. Very, very cold. Like her younger "sister" TNO_Makemake, she has ice powers, but is far more dangerous and lethal when using them. The cold, however, also is within her personality. The furthest being from our warm sun, living under an unchanging sky... her loneliness has grown into apathy and uncaring. It only gets worse when you add in the incident of the tenth planet.

Yes, tenth. For a time, Eris was all set to take her place as a planet alongside the other nine. She was larger than Pluto, surely she deserved such a spot! And sure enough, when she was finally discovered, a rankling seventy-five years after Pluto, there was plenty of talk in the papers, and even at NASA, of the solar system gaining a tenth planet.

... instead, the IAU, realizing this opened the door to an explosive growth in the number of planets, decided to craft a definition of "planet" for the first time. To her surprise, Eris found that the astronomers of Earth, upon finding her... had denied her her right as tenth planet and stripped Pluto of her place as the ninth.

To this day, Eris remains bitter and almost kuudere in her dealings with others. She has concluded one thing, though. A planet must "clear its orbit", according to astronomers. Well... then, clear it, Eris shall... no matter what sort of other detritus might lie in that orbit...
