Valdregga Carnivosa is yet another previously undisclosed "Side Effect" of the Chernobyl Disaster. The Valdregga genus was originally developed as part of the Soviet "Green House Project" to eleminate disease carrying insects from Soviet countries. However, the "Green House" while not in the blast zone, did sustanin significant damage and was contaminated by the resulting nuclear fallout after the aging
reactor had exploded. As we now know, many different mutations resulted from that disaster, this particular result, having severe consequences.

The Valdregga genus was developed orginally as insectivore plants, and while the Carnivosa genus has retained the need for protein, it has had a considerable increase in demand and appetite. As Carnivosa grew and continued to evolve its mutations, the plant began feeding on larger and larger animals. In order to aquire prey more easily, the carnivosa nolonger relies on passive feeding methods; the quadripartite blossom developing teeth and becoming a maw of sorts. Capable of swallowing most animals whole, but also of tearing off chunks of flesh from larger creatures. While the plant's pistol slowly evolved into an eye of sorts, whether it is actually functional and just how it sees if at all remains a mystery.

The Valdregga Carnivosa has also developed the alarming ability to move. The roots of the plant have thickened and grown to a length of just 6ft. measuring 18 inches in diameter. These roots are actually quite flexible and able to move in such a manner that the plant is able to traverse cross country in search of better feeding grounds when the supply in a given area becomes low. The large carnivorous plant has also
evolved a series of prehensile vines, eminating from within the main body cavity. These vines seem to serve dual purposes, their primary function is to immobilize prey to prevent escape and allow consumption. The secondary purpose of these vines seems to be to implant seeds into animals of a suitable size. As a further aid to hunting, the plants emmits a potent aromatic, chemical cocktail having euphoric, hallucinagenic, and aphrodisiacal effects on a large number of animal species. Not only does this intoxicating scent attract prey to within the plant's reach, but it also confuses and disorients most animals making quick movements, defense and escape extremely difficult. While the Carnivosa generally prefers to wait for prey to come to it, during lean times, or while searching for fresher feeding grounds, the Carnivosa has been known to actively hunt and chase down prey with its ability to walk and it's surprising speed.

For reproduction the Valdregga Carnivosa has resorted to a rather unusual method. On occasion, rather than devouring an animal it has caught, it will usse one of it's vines to find an orifice and penetrate the animal, depositing an ovoid seed roughly six inches in diameter at its widest part. Once it has deposited its single seed, the Carnivosa will then abandon the animal. Inside the victem however, the seed soon sprouts roots, which burrow into organs and muscle tissue, releasing an enzyme to slowly breakdown the animal and absorb its body and nutirients into its roots. Once the sapling has grown to a reasonable size, it then bites an chews its way out of its host to plant itself in the ground for the next two years or until it has grown to a height of 5 five feet before becoming more aggressive like its parent plant.
