What is a Vector?
Vectors are a "race" of anthropomorhic animals created through genetic engineering via human DNA being spliced with that of non-human animals. This has resulted in a new, more robust variety of "species" that would one day succeed humanity. They are the primary playable "race" in the tabletop RPG Hc Svnt Dracones by Pierce Fraiser.

The Master's Voice:
All vectors (save hemi-vectors who are demis instead of true anthros) are all genetically programmed to find the human voice to be rather hypnotic, especially when set to music. This only works however with real human voices or analog recordings of them. When under the sway of this "Master's Voice" it would be much easier for a human to influence his actions.

Relationships:
Best Friend: Eva_CaDo

Backstory:
Wiretap was born on Deimos (you see, the actual moon was detonated to clear up space travel) to two "loyal" Spyglass employees. A mother who was a hostage negotiator and a father who was a former underground fight club bookie. However, in the hopes of encouraging him to land a good security job they gave him the name of an ancient Earth espionage method of tapping into a suspect's comminications.

Eventually Wiretap was inducted into the education courses that Spyglass gave where he excelled in both manipulating others for his gains and computer technology. He also proved rather handy with a firearm too just in case someone saw through the erret's antics. Though... much to his parent's chagrin he didn't much like the idea of simply sitting behind a desk trying to root out distant hackers.

In his secondary training he went to Applied Sciences and Robotics (ASR), learning to repair (and promptly sabotage) various machines and robots. From here, albeit on a different campus he met his future partner in morally and legally ambigious occupation Evangeline Ca'Do.

After they both graduated the two of them set out into various contracts and odd jobs. The two mercenarious would usually help protect clientelle or track down sabateurs, would-be assassins, and at least one stalker with tactical blackest optics. Nonetheless the two of them went out of their way to make good connections and eventually be hired into "respectable" positions within their various corps to management positions. Even with the... rather fierce rivalry and political disagreements between Spyglass and the IRPF the two have remained on good terms.

Personality:
Wiretap is friendly, amiable, and sarcastic, though outside a few close friends he is also largely lacking in empathy. He has no qualms lying or cheating to get what he wants from someone unless he feels beforehand they can truly be trusted as well. The ferret also on some level expects this same treatment from others so, while polite he often puts a certain emotional distance between himself and other people. That being said he isn't completely cold, just a bit cynical. If someone does manage to prove they're genuinely trustworthy he'll ensure their protection or won't deliberately betray them. That being said it's no guarantee he'll see them as friends since that requires him to enjoy their company on a personal level.

Equipment:
In combat Wiretap uses a suit of "Grizzly" power armor, a durable, strength altering system but is also the cheapest available power armor on the market. It has also been slightly modified from his time in the field.

Wiretap also carries an assortment of gadgets and weaponry but here in the Nexus there is an emphasis on a non-lethal incapacitaion over killing the opponent outright. This is more for easier ingestion in non-HSD role-playing games. Favored weapons though are the pulse wave, a pepper spray like stun gun along with a grenade launcher usually filled with stun grenade rounds. Of course... he also keeps an assault rifle handy, for more "hairy" situations with lethal and less than lethal ammunition.

Never/Dislike Wiretap adores being dominated by muscular women. Even to the point of having fond memories of dating his high school's female weight lifting team captain... and getting shoved into a locker by her at his own request.
