Yuno_GC

If you don't know, Yuno Gasai is a fanchar based on the anime / manga series 'Future Diary'. An interesting and thrilling show with a lot of unexpected plot twists. This girl is a seemingly cute, shy and sweet teenage chick, but secretly an utterly mad, twisted and psychotic killer.

It's not easy to 'get her right' though, and thus, several options for her canon will be possible, affecting how she behaves and what her story is. More about that later. She will be very similar to her char in the show, apart from minor tweaks here and there.

Yuno has a very sanguinary, deranged side, and is prone to snapping and causing harm or outright killing someone, and this will absolutely be a possibility for a scene. Without it, that would just not be Yuno. However, I am - player wise - not up for everything.

Yuno's nature did not just form by accident, it had a reason for it, naturally. When she was younger, she was your average girl, sweet, charming and friendly. She was adopted as the sole daughter to a rich family of bankers, and her adoptive parents failed horribly at raising her.

Despite Yuno having good grades and doing her best, her mother pressured her to have success and perfom masterfully. While her father was more and more absent, isolating himself from the family and purposefully looking away whenever her mother did something to Yuno, the poor child was mistreated. More and more, her mom got borderline crazy, beating Yuno, scolding her for minor, trivial things, making regulations about everything in her daily life, giving her a curfew, refusing to give her any food as she wanted to punish Yuno, and finally locking up the girl in a cage. Father did not help or speak up about it, and around the age of fourteen, Yuno snapped, getting mad and deranged on her own, a victim of her circumstances.

As she wanted to have just a bit freedom and to show her parents what she had suffered through, she managed to drug them and lock them up in the cage instead, not feeding them. She just wanted to teach them a lesson, but had treaded on the path leading to insanity too long already. When they did not change their attitude and instead called her a "devil's child", Yuno semi-purposefully starved them to death (she deliberately didn't give them any food or drinks, and by the next time she checked, they were dead). Rather than being freaked out, breaking down in sorrow, or having incredibly guilt, Yuno was happy that she was finally own her own and free from all those rules, punishments and abuses. She covered it up and just kept them in the cage for a while, talking to their dead bodies how her day went, until she buried them in the yard.

Her psychotic side had fully developed, and Yuno developed the idea that she had every right to make someone 'vanish' if they stood in her way. Since she had no plans for the future, she just kept on living, but secretly she hopes that she meets somebody wanting to spend their life with her. Her own life felt empty and hollow and Yuno figured that she had no future - instead, she hoped to meet someone who would become her "future" and give her a purpose. Because her parents were not there anymore to pay for any expenses, Yuno started to work as part-time waitress in a local bar to earn money, though she still visited school.

Quite a few times, unlucky persons somehow got her attention, often resulting in Yuno killing them in cold blood. She also, thanks to her looks, found a few who really developed feelings for her, not realizing about Yuno's hidden side. Mostly that did not end well either - the slightest hesitation of them, and Yuno snapped, murdering them for wanting to 'abandon her', or even devouring them to make them 'be with her forever'. The pink-haired gal had a habit of writing about these ordeals in her cellphone diary, planning to start one about her true love and crush eventually... when she'd find the right person.

Finally, closing in on adulthood as Yuno was seventeen years old, she found someone worthy of her love though. Actually, it was more that she was found - usually, it was Yuno who stalked someone to see if they were „the right one“, but in this case, someone had been stalking her. Lelith_Hesperax, a powerful asssassin of a race known as “Dark Eldar” (the closest analogy being “Sci-fi Dark Elf”. Not only was she skilled and capable, she also had stunning looks – and a dark, morbid, cruel personality. She saw something in Yuno, something that caught her interest. In the end, she actually had to save a careless Yuno from a wanna-be pred and sex offender drugging her in a club by slipping something in her drink. Yuno immediately understood that she forever wanted to be with this girl and would devote her entire life and love to her.

Their twisted, malicious and sadistic natures matched nicely, and although this meant nothing would really hold Yuno's psychotic side back, she felt happy and overjoyed. Lelith was not quite open about her feelings, although she gave enough hints to make her lover understand the feelings were at least somewhat mutual – blackhearted, sinister, devious killer assassins usually do not feel that much love and compassion for other people, after all, and have troubles expressing it. Yuno is absolutely, completely devoted to Lelith, following her orders and trying her best to make her happy and not disappoint her. She also started a “Leli-love diary” that mysteriously got warped and transformed into a future-telling diary – Yuno doesn't know why, but she also doesn't really care and just uses it (in dangerous situations, normally, as Lelith finds it somewhat uncomfortable that someone can tell future actions of her to some extent).

Recently, she was also given a powerful weapon to use – a wonderfully crafted, finely designed katana. Not only that, but it's in fact a sentient blade (although Yuno doesn't know that and she lacks the ability to mentally communicate with it) – in form of KnightwalkerReborn. And that wasn't the only major event and change in her life. Lelith had decided it was time to bring Yuno to the place where she lived and resided, and so, she invited Yuno over to stay with her in the Magician_Hotel. Although Yuno was really happy and felt glad, she also had a bit of trouble adapting to it first, and accepting the rules – before Lelith stepped in and enforced some regulations, Yuno thought she had to eliminate some other residents because they might become love rivals. But her talk of love and obedience was not faked, and so she got convinced by Lelith to stick to the rules and trust her crush.

Yuno's nature is not easy to describe. The contrast between her diffrent sides is extreme, and noone can tell for sure when she'll snap, though the most common triggers are either when she or her love are in danger, or when someone is doing 'bad things' to her crush, in Yuno's point of view. She suffers from a variety of derangements, and is very unstable.

Her normal, daily-life side is a sweet, charming and cute teenage gal, very girly, open minded and happy. The girl is quite intelligent and clever as well, and fairs well in school. Fitting the japanese archtype of a "perfect housewife", Yuno has a passion for cooking and is quite skilled with that, and she is also clean and proper, plus she appears to be a bit timid. To the point of seemingly being shy, Yuno easily makes friends and gets popular. Or at least it looks that way. In fact, Yuno hardly cares about anyone else (except her love interest), and is only acting like she is on friendly terms. In terms of sympathy, affection and friendship towards others besides her crush, she is basically emotionally dead inside. For some reason, despite being unstable and demented, she seems to be a quite good judge of character, guessing the true intentions of people and seeing through an act. Often, this is simply a result of her suspiciousness towards everyone beside her crush though.

Yuno has a hidden, dark side that is always lingering at the bottom of her black soul, waiting to bubble to the surface. In a manner appearing to be a multiple personality disorder, Yuno's sides can completely switch, and the memories of one phase she lives through are a bit foggy for her. This does not mean that she doesn't know she kills people when she is in her 'soft' phase though, even if she can temporarily block some memories at will, and neither does she despise her own deeds. Her lunatic side is just hidden to an external observer and is psychotic, paranoid, extremly violent, uncaring, bloodthirsty and very dangerous. Still, it's not really that she has a split personality - Yuno is Yuno and the two sides are just two (extremely opposite) sides of the same coin. Yuno lacks the ability to emphasize with her victims or other people, and is, unless under extreme conditions, not able to understand that what she does it evil and wrong. Simultaneously, like it is mostly for mentally unstable and insane people, Yuno does not think of herself as 'mad', and would never admit that even if someone might try to confront her about it.

The transition between her different emotional states is very smooth and hard to spot for an external observer, until she starts wreaking havoc or go into a violent frenzy at least. Yuno doesn't always starts killing people right away, she is deranged and unstable but the fact she managed to kept up her 'cute schoolgirl' image for so long proves that she can appear normal enough and has a sense for what she can do openly, and what not. Being psychotic and mad does not equal being a drooling, mindless idiot.

She does not hesitate a second to kill someone if she figures they deserve it though, and that includes a lot, to the point she will murder someone speaking ill of her love or getting in her way, without any sympathy, hesitations, or remorse. The lives of others mean nothing to her, except for her love obsession, and she is always willing to sacrifice someone if it means she protects herself that way, or prevents harm being done to the person she is crazy for. Killing is so casual and normal to her that she does not even understand others are shocked and terrified seeing this side of her, and she does not waste many thoughts about what would happen afterwards. If there is no other way, she will also openly discuss sacrificing or killing others in front of them and her love. Besides the dangerous psychopath-killer aspect of Yuno, she can also be a bit of a stalker, following her love around, creeping up on him/her, sending them an abundance of messanges and thinking about them at all times. Depending on the severity and unusualness of a situation, Yuno's idea about 'protection from harm' may take extreme and mad levels, such as abducting her crush and bringing them to a remote, deserted location to ensure nobody can hurt them. It would take a lot for her to take such measures though (and in case of Lelith as her love interest, she doesn't have the skills required to pull that off anyhow).

If she has the time for preparation, she will plan it beforehand and take care that she will not be caught or seen. But if need be and she can not resolve to more subtle methods or a situation just comes up unexpectedly and unforeseen, she will grab the nearest suitable object and stab someone with that, no matter what her situation is. She bluntly tells everyone what she is up to when she has fully snapped, informing her victims about her plans and actions - often freaking them out even more. Yuno also has a bit of a sadistic trait, enjoying the power she has over others and how she lets them suffer - probably a sort of repulse due to the own torment she has gone through in her childhood.

To protect her love interest, she would literally do everything up to the point of self-sacrifice. As mad and batshit-crazy as she is, Yuno is 'serious' about her obsession and unless her love rejects her in a direct, plump way, or unpredicted, extreme circumstances come up, she will try all she can to guard them, keep them safe and make them happy. Yuno will stop at nothing for the sake of her crush, and should one actually come to terms with her madness and return her love without ever hesitating, she would always be devoted and loyal to that person. Even if her love interest just pretends that she is their girlfriend, that is enough for Yuno as long as she is not betrayed, and she is also perfectly fine with just being used for whatever task. Furthermore, the person she loves is the only one halfwhat able to stop her if she is in a frenzy. Yuno also has a habbit of giving her crush a 'cutesy' name and using that instead of the real one, like with Yukiteru who she kept calling Yukki.

In her normal, Nexus Canon she will be up for intimate stuff with someone, or kinky, dominating, powerplay things, how eager she is will depend on whether she grew up there (normal standard setting), or got there after spending time with Yukki already (alternative, non standard setting). Even if she has a crush, she often is up for some naughty or teasy things, although most likely no real sex. Yuno views it more as "using" someone, toying with them and will often include elements of domination or even torture in such kinky sessions (and quite likely, her "lover" is not going to survive the encounter and gets killed or devoured after). This unusual willingness to engage in naughty acts doesn't include her being fine with someone else doing stuff to her crush - she is highly jealous and a notch obsessive / compulsive, and touching or even hitting on her love is an almost guaranteed way to get her mad and have her try and kill that offender. (While I personally don't fancy the japanese 'dere' character stereotypes to classify the personality of someone, it might be noteworthy that Yuno fits the 'yandere' category and is often regarded as the prime example for that type.)

Yuno is a pretty, cute and slender young teenage girl of a little above average height for her age. She has an athletic, lithe body, although her female features are rather well developed with notable orbs on her chest and a firm, round tush. She has a very beautiful face, rosy eyes and long, pink hair which falls down past her waist, and usually a couple hair ties hold it in place.

Should her dark side take over, her eyes seem to almost glare in a tint of red, and the pupils will appear a bit shrunken.

Yuno's normal attire is the typical japanese schoolgirl uniform, with a skirt and a shirt coupled with a ribbon, in respectively blue, white and red shades, and she wears sneakers. Should she prepare herself for a battle that she knows about upfront, she will wear something else, a slightly provocative, lingerie-like set. Tight black fabric of a corset-like top and a mini skirt right sewed onto that, with straps reaching down to her feet, accompanied by stockings and black leather boots. Yuno seems to think that she can move more freely in this, and distract her enemies with the sight, as the girl is aware of her attractive looks.

Yuno, first and foremost, shows a disturbing skill with the use of all sorts of slashing objects. Knifes are her favorite, and whether just a kitchen knife turned to an impromptu weapon, or a more sturdy one meant to cut things with. She is very fast, strong and knows what she is doing with them, able to deflect thrown projectiles or fight against someone in close combat. Her physical 'stats' are not at all fitting for a teenage girl, being borderline inhuman as Yuno is more resembling a trained, muscular and athletic top athlete. She also has an immense knowledge of vulnerable points on the normal human body.

Even skilled fighters struggle against the mixture of madness, fury, frenzy, anger and prowess, and she will not hesitate the slightest, ignoring all pleads and also not caring about her safebeing, at least if she is trying to protect her love interest. Furthermore, Yuno also can handle axes, blades, and even a katana, turning into a nightmarish warrior with the later one, able to slice someone apart. The girl also had some training with pistols and submachine guns. Of course, she did not go through a real military or police training, and it is unknown where she aquired the skills, or if she is just blessed with incredible talent.

Usually, if she has to fight seriously, Yuno will use the amazing katana she had been given, a marvellous and deadly weapon that actually is sentient, as in has a soul attached to it. The blade is actually KnightwalkerReborn, although Yuno does not possess the skill to telepathically communicate with her weapon. Should she slay more victims and devour them to absorb some power, and / or feed her katana the blood, strength and essence of foes, further abilities may be 'unlocked', but so far that has not happened. Despite the recklessness and the spontaneous outbursts she has at times, Yuno can be calculating as well. She has some knowledge about poisons and drugs, and she is very good in assessing and judging a situation, possessing a clever, quick mind. The schoolgirl furthermore displays a very high perception and intuition, being able to notice the smallest difference in the size or weight of objects, which may be an indication that something is wrong.

Depending on the canon used, she will have / could have a future diary of various types. They are prophetical, future-telling items and can have different forms, depending on what the original object was - a classical notebook, a cell phone, a computer, etc. Typically they show events up to roughly 3 months ahead, the specifics depending on the type of future diary. By changing your actions to avoid things shown in the diary, you can change your future and the prediction will not come true, but instead another future will be shown. There exist quite number of variants with varying abilities, though they have one thing in common - should the future diary be destroyed, the wielder will be killed seconds after. In the normal canon she appears in, Yuno has a "Leli-love diary" predicting the future of her love interest every ten minutes.

Last but not least, Yuno is vore capable - she is not quite sure herself why she can stretch and flex to gulp down a large meal, but sees it as yet another practical method to deal with someone she wants 'gone'. She has zero problems with what she makes her prey suffer through, in fact enjoying the power over her victims and the nice feelings, and her sadistic side finds perverted delight in this method. Yuno has more methods besides just slurping someone up, too, and she is curious to test it out some more...
