Yuuta used to be hand-maiden to Salacia, the beautiful goddess of Salt water often referred to as the Divinity of the Sea. For centuries, she worked under her goddess, serving her and doing whatever task was asked of her.
At first, she was eager just to be of service to the goddess. However, once learning that her work wouldn't be credited to her, but to Salacia, Yuuta became unsettled. She tried her best not to mind it, but as the years went on, she grew tired of going unappreciated, especially when her goddess treated her like a servant when it was Yuuta that saw to it that most of her goddess's tasks were attended to.
Fed up with her deity and the lack of appreciation for all she does, she leaves, seeking to start her own following... But she realises that without her deity's power, she is left to generate her own, which is hardly enough for anyone to praise. Alone, she has some purification magic, some healing magic, and some size-manipulation magic. Still, she needs worshippers to grow stronger, yet to gain worshippers, she needs to increase her power level.
She knows that devoted followers will give her the most power, and she tries her best to win people over, however sometimes a sacrifice is needed for a little 'pick me up.' While a sacrifice given by a proselyte will give her more power than one she takes, sometimes there aren't any around and she must take what she can in order to survive.
