An AllIn1 Alt
UPDATE (2014-6-11): Added Gadgets section, expanded Basement section into a general Home section.

Madylin Sychyov is a twenty-something mad scientist who just loves conducting B-movieish, gratuitous and pointless experiments on people. Can be pred or prey.

Personality
Maddie, first and foremost, is selfish. Not evil as such, but incredibly apathetic to the point of sociopathy. If you benefit her, she'll treat you well. If your pain would benefit her more, you won't live very long. She's a bit of a control freak, needing to be in power in all situations, and can be manipulative when the situation calls for it.

And as such, her science experiments mainly work to benefit her, though they don't always come out as planned (see below.) She loves chaos and death in all its forms, even when it's happening to her, and therefore has set up a system by which she can experience it and live (again, see below.) She loves being eaten most of all, and has a bit of a masochistic streak, well at odds with her power obsession. She also loves cooking, even--neigh, especially--when it's happening to her.

But benefit has many different meanings, and she is legitimately fascinated by scientific and magical phenomenon (even if she is still a bit Scully-ish about the latter.) That's the main reason she resides by the Park. As such, many of her projects are somewhat logically sound even if they do have no practical purpose whatsoever.

She also has a serious problem with impulse control and suffers from a serious lack of responsibility, only really remembering to feed her pets because the deaths of her assistants amuse her. She can barely hold down a job (frequently being in the employ of attractive predators doesn't help) and her bills are a mess, her massive lab a result of dire overspending. She can barely be bothered to maintain it, as well, as vast wings have been abandoned or at the very least kept in cobwebs. Her attention span for her projects is fairly low.

Underneath it all, though, a lack of funds and a subconscious, well-buried love of society curb her more destructive impulses, and given what she does let herself get away with that's saying something. Somewhere, under the goofy, lighthearted demeanor is a desire to see the world burn, but she keeps quiet and avoids the authorities like the dickens (poorly, though. At least three intergalactic police forces want her incarcerated and she's never even been in space.) No widespread property destruction for her, no siree.

Not since last time.

Gadgets
CLONR. Has its own alt, but is basically just a regeneration machine. You can click the link if you're dying for an in-depth explanation of how it works.

The teleporter watch. A wristwatch device, it requires incredibly specific coordinates and has a fairly limited range. For that reason, Maddie mainly uses it to transport to her location of death after rebirth, provided it's feasible.

The raygun. Originally a series of multiple, specialized rayguns, Maddie's since found it easier to simply combine all of them into one, which she tends to keep holstered whenever she's entering a dangerous situation. It's primary settings are a heat ray, which is a straightforward laser, a freeze ray, which freezes its target on a molecular level rather than encasing them in ice, a shrink ray, which does exactly what it says on the tin, and a teleportation ray, a low-rent version of the watch for when Maddie needs to bring people along with her somewhere. In stories set in Maddie's teenage years, she's instead armed with a rudimentary electric gun.

An alien spaceship. Discovered out in the middle of a desert, it's a glass/chrome affair that used to be (and might still be) home to some incredibly dangerous creatures. Maddie has yet to learn how to fly it, so it primarily serves as a MacGuffin for her enemies or occasional thing for Maddie to tinker with for set-dressing.

The goggles. Offer vision on various ends of the light spectrum, and tracks her travel distance (and location provided she's on Earth). Those functions don't get used much, though. Mostly she just hasn't felt secure with bare eyes since she wore coke-bottles in grade school.

Home
Maddie moved into 354 First Street sometime in the mid-2000s, choosing it partially because of its proximity to the Park and its reality-warping tendencies, partially because it was way larger than she could afford and she's kind of irresponsible, and partially because of the massive, labyrinthine basement underneath it. Boasting thousands of rooms of assorted sizes, a gloomy atmosphere, and complete soundproofing, it suited Maddie's needs perfectly.

The living room isn't especially impressive. It's a quaint little two-floor affair with beige walls and minimal furnishing, most of it furniture rescued from trash pickups and yard sales. What few upholstered seats it contains are fading and its wood chairs are splintering. The windows have likely never been washed.

The kitchen, however, is a sight to behold--it's the largest room in the main house, and appears to have been built for someone three times the size of a normal human. While the countertops are about the right height, the oven is unspeakably large, as is a barbeque grill on the other end of the room and a deep-frier to the oven's left. Atop the stove is room for six-foot-high pots, aided by the absurdly large sealing. And in the center of the room is a massive prep table, where you can usually find some poor woman strapped down or tied up, awaiting her fate.

The basement is, of course, the most important bit. All of the walls are metal-plated, and most of them are rusting. The ceilings and floors have been slightly more well-maintained, the former boasting a series of ever-dimming florescent lights and the former actually being a rather nice tiled affair. It contains such rooms as:
The control room is perhaps the most poorly lit. It's Maddie's default base of operations and contains hundreds of monitors showing camera feeds from all over the basement, and allows Maddie access to almost every door in the building and wall-mounted swiveling guns in the hallways in case of intruders.

The entry room, right outside the control room, is a small sitting area containing a card table and a few mattresses to buffer people coming in from the trap-door in the porch that lets out there.

The monsters' chambers are the largest rooms, generally. For some of the more humanoid monsters, these serve as bedrooms, with painted walls and moderately comfortable beds, assorted furnishings as they chose, and few (if any) restraints. The larger and more feral beasts tend to have incredibly sparse decor and are often shackled to the wall or equipped with a ball-and-chain, with incredibly thick and impeccably locked stainless steel doors keeping them locked up.

The experiment room is where Maddie, you guess it, preforms most of her experiments. It contains a large operating table and lots of equipment, as well as a massive tank of transparent steel built in to one wall to isolate more dangerous subjects.

Multiple abandoned rooms are strewn throughout, most of which were never cleared out or cleaned up and often contain the remnants of many a forgotten experiment. Those are probably best left avoided.

The Assistants
The Assistants are Maddie's live-in help, about a hundred girls enslaved in the basement for the purpose of being fed to the monsters, being fed to Maddie herself, or being experimented on. If Maddie really, legitimately needs their help, it's usually going to be fatal for them anyway.

The Assistants all live in one big cage. No cots, no separate rooms, two toilets. They're not allowed to wear anything but for the large shock collars around their necks, set to detonate if they try to rebel in any way. It's a pretty dismal life, and the only real upside is it's not life for long.

Maddie's Monsters
All are pred-only, for the record.

Without Alts
Spinstress, a dryder, is a lot less direct than the others, preferring to be all sultry and seductive, almost hypnotic, though granted her attempts tend to be fairly transparent.

A virus that kills on contact. It might do other stuff too.

A snake that Maddie bought on line. Has a particularly ravenous appetite, needing to be fed dam near continuously.

Possible scenarios
Adventure. Maddie has a tendency to go on expeditions for things like rare specimens and ancient treasures. She does do actual science occasionally. So inhibit that. Distract her, preferably by killing her.

Aliens. Maddie has a complex relationship with space. At least two interstellar civilizations know of her, and at least one considers her a dangerous criminal. (Though Earth authorities don't seem to think so. Nexus logic, one supposes.) A morally dubious bounty hunter could be trying to track her down and kill her, or she could be put on trial by a just society that happens to have a very fun death penalty. Of course, there are alien civilizations that don't know about her but do know of Earth. She (or her experiments) could be abducted for science! And, naturally, god help the defenseless alien who's ship crashes in her backyard. Should be a fun evening.

Assistants. Maddie keeps a large stock of "Assistants" (slave is such an ugly word) in her lab at all times--mostly to feed herself and her pets, but occasionally to actually do shit. Or get experimented on. There are "NPC" Assistants, but generally speaking you'd play as one of them and not last particularly long. Assistants are required to be nude at all times, save for a shock collar which can trigger explosives if Maddie gets testy enough with you. There's a bare-bones RPG I'm running if you want to play a breakout scenario.

Cash. Maddie's had a number of jobs now, and--as you can tell from her perpetual poverty--none have panned out. Perhaps her latest employer is a predator, or her latest position is tending to a beast of some sort. Maybe you want to hire Maddie to do some sort of science for you. Or, perhaps, you're hard enough up for cash to be taking Maddie up on one of the many bogus job offers she prints in the paper as bait for new Assistants, in which case god help you.

Experiments. There's a lot of oddities wandering around in the park, beyond mere anthros--lots of magic users, demigods, demons, rouge government experiments, sci-fi warriors, and so forth. Naturally Maddie wants some of that power for herself, or at the very least wants to understand it--so onto the operating table you go, until either your secrets are unlocked or Maddie gets bored of you. Of course, you don't have to just sit there and take it...
