NOTES!
Note #1: I expect some level of grammatical correctness, post length, and RP proficiency.
Note #2: I expect a decent amount of profile. It is there as a resource, use it as such. If all you have on your profile is sliders, I will NOT RP with you. I expect at least an overview of your character on your profile, if only to tell me how good a writer you are. Similarly, I do use your profile to determine your writing proficiency. If you do not use punctuation or capitalization in your profile, I will not be interested.
Note #3: I enjoy variety. As such, I appreciate characters that have something interesting to bring to the table. I'm not really a fan of scenes that are just going through the same familiar motions.
Note #4: Do not approach me IC unless I am also IC. Mostly this means please don't make your initial whisper to me IC, as I do like to have some idea of what you want before the RP starts.
Note #5: All the previous notes have exceptions, and please don't let them stop you from poking me. I do genuinely enjoy chatting with people and I'm usually bored. Just be aware that they exist as possible reasons for me to turn down an RP from you.
---
I am aware that my profile is super long. I do not expect you to read it in its entirety, as it is simply here as a reference. If you're just skimming through it, I highly recommend reading my OOC Notes section, towards the bottom, and of course glancing at my sliders. Everything else can safely be ignored, though I always appreciate people who take the time to read it all.
Description
Feral form:
(Note: Unless otherwise stated, Zontan is always in feral form. If I am in anthro form, my text will be red)
Zontan is a large black dragon, nearly thirty feet long from nose to tailtip. His body is mostly smooth scales, his only adornments being two small backward-pointing horns on his head and a series of flexible spines down the back of his neck. His wings are large, roughly triangular, with vestigal claws at the tips, and dark purple undersides. His belly is also purple, though of a slightly brighter shade. His eyes are pure yellow, making it difficult to tell what he is thinking.
Zontan is often carefree, exceptionally lazy, and always looking for new things that strike him as interesting. His usual reason for doing anything is boredom, as once you've been around for nearly a millennium a lot of things cease to be engaging. As such, he falls back on his two main vices: Meeting new people, and food. His goal is to meet as many different interesting creatures in his life as possible, as they are the only things that ever really change. A similar goal is to taste as many of them as possible as well, but he usually doesn't inform the creatures he meets of this.
He has a wide variety of magic, including the spells that allow him to reform any creature he eats, provided they are cast before digestion is complete. His other common spells include a binding spell, various elemental magics, a dispel effect, and a spell that stores small objects in an extradimensional pouch. He uses his magic casually, and rarely casts anything other than his standard spells.
IC Notes
Please feel free to ignore this entire section. I do not expect you to be conversant with all of Zontan's abilities, this is simply here as a reference.
Please also be aware that while Zontan is powerful, this is mostly so I don't have to deal with the fighting power-gamers, not because I am one. If our RP ever devolves into a fight where the outcome has not already been decided (typically that of prey trying to fight their way free, which is fine), then I have done something wrong.
Abilities:
Dragon: Obviously he's a dragon and everything that goes with it. He's tough, he can fly, he's moderately resistant to magic and if you attack with fire expect to be laughed at. He can breathe fire, though he does so rarely, and prefers his prey alive, not flame-roasted.
Shapeshifting: Zontan is fully capable of shapeshifting, and has an alternate dragon form that he uses only rarely to escape notice, and an anthro form which I will totally post a description of at some point. He also recently acquired a gryphon form from
Cielo which he uses on occasion. He typically remains male despite his ability to shapechange.
Telepathy: Zontan is capable of limited telepathy, typically only to creatures relatively close to him. He typically only uses it if his mouth is too full to talk.
Cockvore: Zontan is capable of cockvore, though typically only of things human sized or smaller. The main downside to this is that his reformation spells do not work on things he cockvores, though he can keep prey alive there until he decides to release them, typically through a climax.
Tailmaw: Zontan has a tailmaw. It is equipped with an extra chamber just above his stomach that is perfectly harmless until he decides to release prey or drop them into his stomach proper.
Reformation: Zontan can reform any creature he digests in his belly, so long as he casts the reformation spell before digestion is complete. He is also capable of rendering his stomach harmless, allowing prey to remain there safely for as long as he wishes.
Zontan's Lair
Zontan possesses a fairly extensive lair in a mountain several hour's flight from the park. This mountain looks perfectly normal from the ground, featuring a nearly impassable rocky ridge around the entire mountain about two-thirds of the way up, making it almost impossible to reach except by flight. Above this ridge, Zontan's magic holds sway, turning the tip which should be covered in ice to be a lush warm garden, full of flowering plants, meandering paths, and evergreen trees. In the center of this garden, an opening in the very tip of the mountain leads to a spiraling passage down into his lair. His magic can sense the presence of mechanical objects such as planes, and when it does so it cloaks the top of the mountain in an illusion, making it appear normal to passing humans. However, it does not protect itself in any way from creatures able to fly under their own power.
The lair itself is quite literally a miniature city. Over the centuries, Zontan's small collection of interesting 'pets' spawned the need for cooks, doctors, janitors, gardeners, peacekeepers, and more. His lair slowly grew as he added dozens of bedrooms, kitchens, dining halls, a gym, a pool, a nursery, a jail... eventually it rivaled a city of its own, complete with its own bureaucracy. Because of its gradual construction, the passages are a literal maze, with rooms added based on when they were deemed necessary rather than in any logical configuration. As a result, there is a fairly complex key throughout the lair for getting from one place to another, as Zontan does not permit full maps to be made. As there is no universal language in the lair, this key consists of colored pictograms painted on the ceiling at all intersections. Zontan is fairly sure he is the only being in the mountain who actually knows what every single pictogram means, as the lair now consists of miles upon miles of passageway across over a dozen levels.
If you wish to visit Zontan's lair, feel free to PM me, as it is full of interesting opportunities, places, and creatures. You are also likely to wander into several specimens from
The_Garden there. (Note that The_Garden is
not mine, I simply use some of the publicly available plants there).
Zontan's Pets
Over the years, Zontan has acquired some number of interesting or exotic creatures to be his pets. He is, however, always looking for new recruits. New pets are given a magic silver collar to wear, and must be willing, for the magic of the collar will not function unless they put it on themselves, of their own free will. When they do so, the clasp disappears and their name appears on the collar, marking them as belonging to him.
The collar gives Zontan a large amount of control over the pet, including being able to know where they are at all times, teleport them to his lair when he wishes, and making any area he chooses off-limits to them (the collar will grow too heavy for them to stand should they cross a boundary). He also expects his pets to perform certain services for him when he so wishes, including companionship, sexual pleasure, and meals.
In exchange, the pet receives the ability to contact him telepathically whenever they wish, and the protection of the collar's magic and Zontan himself. The collar has the ability to deaden pain, up to and including that of being digested, and will reform the wearer if they are killed. It can also reverse unwanted transformations. Being Zontan's pet also gives full access to his lair, which is large enough to contain many diversions, and protection from the traps and inhabitants within it.
The collar cannot be removed by anyone except Zontan. It can block magic and cannot be cut or broken by nonmagical means. It transforms with the wearer, even when the transformation is to such things as smoke, and reappears on the wearer when they reform, whether by the collar's magic or otherwise. Its only limitation is the amount of magic it can store, which is fairly substantial, but does take time to restore if it is used up to deflect attacks against it. If, however, it is danger of running out of mana, it will teleport the wearer to Zontan's lair as a final protective measure, then temporarily shut down to recharge.
In addition, Zontan has a Favorite, who is more than just the pet he currently likes the most. The Favorite is a constant companion to him, and does not reach that rank without being a pet for at least several years. The Favorite is in charge of all the other pets, and her favor is nearly as important to them as that of Zontan himself, as her opinion carries great weight in regards to their internal squabbles, though she has no actual authority to punish them or use the powers Zontan has over them.
Zontan's Favorite:
Aurora_Bryony
Other pets:
Euophoria
Vikalla
Dan
Liliata
Melane
Other lair NPCs:
These are characters that live in Zontan's lair, that I use regularly. Feel free to request to play with any of them, if they strike your interest.
Candice: Candice is a calico catwoman, and one of Zontan's pets. She has been one for over ten years, and is now rarely called on for anything other than advice, mostly in dealing with the conflicts between other pets. Despite being quite lazy, she is very motherly to all of them, often offering advice or a shoulder to cry on.
Alera: Alera is an avariel, or winged elf, and another of Zontan's pets. She is quiet and kind, and hopelessly devoted to Zontan. She also has quite a voyeuristic streak, enjoying watching others feed her master even more than feeding him herself. As such, she will often seek out victims to feed to him, despite being quite gentle otherwise.
Lienda: Lienda is an anthro sparrow girl, and one of Zontan's pets. She is the leader of a clique of 'popular girls' within Zontan's lair, and like many such cliques, is conniving and often malicious. She defers only to Zontan and Aurora, preferring to lord over all the other pets, and can be quite vicious if she doesn't get her way. She is also a pred/prey switch, and will sometimes eat other pets or workers if they displease her.
Raho: Raho is a neko with purple ears and tail, and a worker in Zontan's lair. She mostly performs odd jobs that need doing, having no advanced skillsets beyond good people skills. She was orphaned at a young age and taken in by Zontan, and later was offered the option of being a pet. She turned him down, as she had no sexual interest in men, and took a job instead. She then proved quite capable of dealing with large, dangerous visitors without provoking them into eating her, and as such became the one Zontan goes to if he wants a guide for a newcomer. Despite how often she deals with predators, she has an irrational fear of being eaten, even though she knows Zontan's magic will protect her.
Morthu: Morthu is a large anthro wolf, and an ex-mercenary. He was hired by Zontan for some dangerous task he refuses to talk about, and has worked for him ever since as security, both in dealing with intruders and resolving conflicts between citizens. He carries a large sword at all times, but rarely uses it.
Magic System
Note: These are only the rules for Zontan's specific breed of spellcasting. I make no claim that this system is the only one, nor that it is better than any other. While Zontan will likely try to figure out a way to make your system fit into his notion of magic in-character, if it does not, it does not mean I think your system is somehow "wrong." You are welcome to use this explanation for your own character's magic if you like it well enough, but if you do I would like some recognition of it somewhere on your profile.
Zontan is a wizard of considerable power, having been studying magic for most of his nine hundred years of life. Zontan's magic functions as a manipulation of mana, a force much like gravity that is inherent in all creatures and objects. Mana can be manipulated mentally by most creatures, with varying degrees of efficiency. This efficiency is what determines a creature's spellcasting power, as the more efficient they are with their available mana, the more powerful spells they can cast and the longer they can cast without running out. Efficiency increases with practice and skill.
In order to cast, one must have both the ability to manipulate mana and an adequate source of mana. The residual mana that is always present is not usually enough to use for spellcasting, except in special places of great power. Most creatures require some kind of arcane focus, such as a staff, rod, orb, totem, or similar (Note that scrolls, spellbooks, and wands are not focuses and function differently). Dragons, however, have the benefit of having their scales be natural mana reflectors - as such, they naturally gather and store mana inside their own bodies and need no external focus.
Wands are a special brand of arcane implement. Rather than store raw mana, they function rather like a magic gun. At their simplest, activating a wand simply causes it to gather up surrounding mana, convert it into a single spell, and blast it out the tip. As such, anyone can use them. More powerful wands are capable of more diverse tasks, though because of how they work they typically excel in one particular area to the determent of others. Scrolls are somewhat similar, save that they contain a mostly prepared spell, and carry the required mana with them. Once used, they are useless, as that mana has been spent. Once again, they can be used by anyone, even those with no magical ability.
Spellbooks function quite differently. They carry no mana and cannot gather it, they merely have a large number of preset spells stored in them. They work by selecting a spell and pouring raw mana into the book, which will do the work of casting for you. As such, they require both a separate source of mana and some minor spellcasting knowledge, as the mana must be channeled into the book manually. However, they do typically allow the casting of much more powerful spells than the caster would normally be capable of, as the book's mana efficiency is determined by the person who created it, not the one using it.
Zontan does not use any of these focuses. Instead he uses a large number of keywords - said keywords are merely triggers for a more complicated mana manipulation. By themselves, they are simply words. Zontan uses Draconic for his keywords, simply because it is his native language. His spells can be cast without keywords, they simply make the job much easier and make it far less likely that he will make a mistake. He is also capable of channeling raw mana to create spells on the spot, and while this has far fewer limits, it is incredibly dangerous.
Because dragons store mana naturally, gathering it from the surroundings over time unconsciously, they do use it in their normal functioning. If Zontan were somehow cut off entirely from mana, he would soon lose the ability to fly or breathe fire, and become much weaker physically as well. It also causes him to become tired, lethargic, and sore if he uses too much of his mana at a time. Simple spells will not tax him, but he tries to avoid large magical confrontations for that exact reason.
Some of Zontan's common spells:
Nakta (keep): This places a small item held in Zontan's claw into an extradimensional storage pouch. It does not work on things bigger than a couple feet across or on living things.
Tinakta (unkeep): This removes an item and returns it to his claw. The item in question is specified by picturing it mentally, and is not part of the spell.
Svent (destroy): This is a dispel spell that removes all magical effects on the target, good or bad.
Ixen (fire): This is a simple fireball spell.
Shochraos (lightning): This fires a lightning bolt from Zontan's claw.
Suaco (wind): This is typically used to create a gust of wind, either to bolster flight or startle or knock down enemies.
Los (block): This puts up a very brief magical barrier that is typically sufficient to block any single oncoming projectile. It is not instant, however, and thus is not effective against bullets. But it is more than capable of blocking anything from arrows to large rocks to missiles.
Jedark Gaumad (force shield): This creates a shield around Zontan that blocks all physical force, such as bullets, rocks, or any other kind of physical projectile. It has no effect against gas or energy. It drains mana simply by being up, and more if it actually blocks something, and as such cannot be maintained for long.
Pok (stop): This is a holding spell, used to bind prey so they cannot move. It drains mana simply by being present, and more if the creature being held is actively fighting it, and as such cannot be maintained for long.
Gethrisj (go): This is a teleport spell that will transport Zontan up to several hundred feet almost instantaneously.
Okarthel (home): This spell immediately teleports Zontan to his lair, regardless of location or distance. This spell takes a tremendous amount of mana to use, and often leaves Zontan weak for days. As such, he uses it only as a very last resort.
Kepesk (storm): This is a spell modifier, taking some kind of elemental spell (such as ixen or suaco) and turning it into a larger area effect.
Valignat (burn): This is a spell modifier, taking some kind of elemental spell and making it explosive.
Items (held via
nakta):
Yumita's Pokeball
Glowing Pebble (from Mat, adopted son of
Mary_and_Sara)
Seth_Rider's Dagger
Vari's Staff
Alora_Miika's Fangs
OOC Notes
Just throwing this out there: I don't do well at planning scenes. I often start with nothing more than a setting and a general idea of whether it will end in vore, and sometimes not even that. I may approach you with no ideas for a scene at all, merely a desire to interact with your character. Please suggest crazy things to me, I will almost certainly love them. But I don't feel comfortable defining how scenes will play out, as I don't want to impose on my partner something they would not normally do.
Vore:
I prefer oral vore as a general rule, though I am also capable of cock vore and tail vore. Zontan is 99% pred. He will ONLY consent to be prey if he knows and completely trusts the pred. Do not ask for me to let you eat him. If you attempt to eat him IC, expect a major fight, and do not expect to win. You have been warned.
I prefer female partners, though I will eat male prey on occasion. However, my standards are much higher for male prey - be aware that if you are male, I am much more likely to turn you down.
I typically do mostly or completely painless soft vore, usually along with implied or explicit digestion. I am capable of reforming my prey but I only reform prey I know - if you simply walk up out of nowhere or Zontan is simply hunting, do not expect to be reformed. I do occasionally do hard vore, but I am very rarely in the mood.
I am also perfectly willing to RP something that involves no vore at all. I enjoy character interaction above all else - if you wander up to me just to talk without any intention of it ending in vore I will be completely down for it. I also greatly enjoy RPs with plot development or unusual scenarios. If you want there to be an epic quest or want me to provide NPCs or to do an RP with some kind of setting or connection already established, message me about it. Odds are I'll find it interesting and say yes.
I am incredibly flexible and will try to do whatever I can to meet your preferences, provided they are not one of the things listed below that I will not do, period, and I can find a way to justify it IC. I also greatly enjoy variety - if you've got an idea for something crazy or unusual, poke me about it.
The only things I will absolutely refuse to participate in are anal vore, scat, watersports, sex with another male character, or cock vore with or by another male character. Everything else is open to consideration.
What I like to see:
-I do like to see a picture, it helps a lot. It's not required, but if you don't have it you should have a fairly detailed description.
-Literacy! If you don't use capitals or punctuation in your profile, I will have no desire to RP with you. Typos while RPing are one thing, but blatant lack of grammar in your profile will make me immediately turn you down.
-A couple paragraphs of general things about your character. Things I ought to know if I want to RP with him/her. General personality, setting, outlook, etc.
-Some indication that you have at least glanced at my profile. While I do not expect you to have read all of it, I DO expect you to be conversant of my preferences. Don't ask me for something that I've listed as a hard no already.
What I don't like to see:
-A three-page long essay of your character's backstory. Sorry, I'm not interested. If I want to know your life story, I'll ask you in-character. I will NOT read it on your profile.
-A profile that consists entirely of a movelist. Description of your abilities is fine, but if your profile is just a long list of "techniques" so people will think you're awesome, no. If you look like all you want to do is have over-the-top fights, I will assume it is the case and RP with someone else.
Statuses:
If I am posting publicly, regardless of if I am interacting with another character, I am always open for approach! However, be warned that if I am participating in a verbose RP with someone, I will likely ignore you if you do not match the same level of quality in your approach. If I am not currently engaged with someone, then I will almost certainly respond.
LFRP: I am actively seeking an RP. Feel free to message me suggesting a scene. Note that this is true regardless of if I am posting publicly - I often have a public and a private RP going at the same time. You are also free to approach me in public as well.
Open for Approach: I am posting publicly and either actively seeking an RP partner or would enjoy someone entering my current RP. I am not actively seeking additional RP, but you may still feel free to message me.
RP as Pred: I am feeling particularly predish and am just looking for someone to feed me, rather than plot. If you don't want to deal with conversation, look for this status. This is also your best bet if you want to interest me in a hard vore scene.
RP as Prey: I am in one of my rare, rare, rare preyish moods. This is the ONLY time you should approach me about being eaten by anyone else, and you're still much better off if you already know me. Don't expect to see this one often, if at all.
Out of Character: I'm just lurking, either because I don't have time or am not in the mood for an RP. Feel free to message me to chat, but RP requests will be turned down.
Online: I'm just hanging around. Feel free to whisper me, but I may be away from the computer or not paying attention to the chat, in which case I may not respond. If I'm posting publicly, feel free to approach.
Away: I'm away from the computer or busy. If you message me I will not respond until I come back.
Do Not Disturb: Just what it says. If I'm not already talking with you when I go in, don't message me, you'll be ignored.
