Kios

Background:
Kios was born on a polar desert planet of Arcanis, outside the borders of the AWF. Her species made a living from fishing, geothermal energy and water harvesting for the intergalactic market. This eventually made the AWF and the planet’s equivalent of the United Nations made an agreement: Arcanis became an ally of the AWF, and in turn the AWF funded the planet’s industrialization, urbanization etc.

Kios’ species would also provide their genetic samples for the Federation’s study and needs. Be that creation of new species or the purpose for the Glacon Dragons themselves when it came to the AWF’s Lazarus/Regen project. Kios, like many of her kind in the work force, would be provided an option to become a Lazarus candidate. The operations reduced many of the fatal and crippling accidents and dangers of these occupations.

Kios eventually grew unsatisfied with the limited occupations upon Arcanis. When the chance to volunteer for the Lazarus Soldier regiments was presented to her; Kios took the chance to go beyond her home. Much of her time in the AWF military were at first some of the best years of her life.

That came to an end when she met the likes of Lorsia, Dios, and Ra/Ruan. Her friendships with them revealed a growing and corrupting darkness within the AWF and the Regen/Lazarus Project. A darkness that gradually creeped to the surface.

AWF’s corruption and civil strife eventually collapsed into a series of annihilating civil wars. Almost all within it and outside of the AWF fought for survival. Kios tried her best to navigate through this. One fateful event was her aid to a faction named the Zan, lead by Ra/Ruan, as it attacked the Regen/Lazarus Project Headquarters.

It was there and when she hit her lowest. Her friendships fell apart as she tried to prevent violence between Ruan/Ra as the latter tried to kill Dios for the murder of his families many years ago.

The experience of this fallout left Kios at her darkest; alone and bitterly angry.

Kios almost expressed these bitter and wrathful emotions upon Rachell Well who she came across alone. She had plans to torture the head researcher of the project for all that had happened with the project, AWF and what happened to her and her friends.

However, a Lazarus candidate, Fergus, ambushed and defeated Kios. Despite Kios’ attempt to hurt his friend, Fergus did little to no harm to her. When Kios was restrained, her and Fergus got into heated debate.

Fergus calm and sympathetic, and Kios furious and spiteful. The former eventually left her alone to her own devices. His words eventually ate away at Kios at what she tried to do. She decided to leave for Arcanis. Along that journey she provided company for strangers and aided them before they parted ways with her.

When Kios returned to her home of Arcanis, she found it changed; the planet flooded from the inevitable conflict that melted the icy landscape. Almost all the planet’s infrastructure, population and ecosystem damaged beyond any hope of repair.

With a heavy heart, the Kios left her home. Left her planet; left her galaxy for new hopefully and better boundaries.

She would travel among the bright stars of the dark void of space. Then one day she was almost permanently killed by a stranger. She survived but at great cost of her Mem-recov implant. It was damaged, and many memories within it were fragmented.

She nowadays is on a conflicted path of either finding ways to restore these lost memories, or debates on letting the past stay dead and moving. All while struggling to survive in whatever world she is on.
