A little bit of histroy perhaps?
"It all started when I was born...~" Yep, sure did. She was a relaxed, slightly impish swabloo growing up. Melisma was that one annoying band kid that everyone knew in school, yet nobody really knew her name. They just knew what she looked like. As a matter of fact, she used to be the geekiest ki- "Did you rally have to say it that harshly?" Yes. Yes I did. Now then... Thing is, when you're a normal, flying girl like her in her younger years, people just assume you're a dime a dozen, no matter your talents.
When she started the middle school chorus however, she found out she was rather incredible at singing and whistling. Nobody seems to know where she picked up this talent from, or what type of satanic cult like sacrifices that had to be made for her to get this ability. It just seemed to astonish everyone. The little nerd that could had pipes!
So, it made her feel fantastic. The approval she got from everyone, the whole nine yards.
It wasn't until she reached high school when she became the bombshell you see today. "Thank you very much~" You see, when puberty hits you, it's either a light tap, or a complete body slam. In Melisma's case, it was the latter. She sprouted up quickly in height, rivaling some boys from the varsity basketball team, but she never played any sports. Remember, relaxing type! So, instead, she would go and do her own things. Try out the drama club, got all the solos in her chorus to sing to the parents during those mandatory school concerts. Y'know the ones. She even learned how to dance, somewhat. She still gets an applaus even though she sometimes just looks like she's doing the floppy dragon dance.
She found she had a far greater fondness for abstract and musical arts as opposed to doing her usual normal course work in high school. Now, where'd this love for some abstract art come from? She found out she could make a killing using her own fluff that came off of her every summer and using it to create super weird looking pieces of art that for some reason people pay a lot of money for! Her first painting she sold for 40 dollars! "Ah, remember the days when that was a lot of money? Me neither..."
Melisma is now an aspiring singer, singing in bars and local restaurants quite often. It ain't much, but it's honest work. Is she still a music nerd? Of course. Does she do her stupid silly dragon dance? Absolutely. Does she have much a desire to go to college? Not in the slightest. Issue with that music career is... she can't truly get herself known. "Music nowadays seems to be mostly about who you know as opposed to how good you are." Yes yes... We know Melisma.
