In the mid 1800’s, when the brilliant Dr. Moreau was perfecting his scientific wizardry, he felt it was high time that he employed some extra muscle to better watch over his island. But the boats that sailed in only gave him very few aids willing to leave home in hopes of working on an uncharted island. A couple of weeks rolled by and Moreau received new test subjects...Werewolves. Whatever the proper name was for them, they were brought to the mad doctor in packs, and served as an important link into his research. Moreau got to work one splicing human DNA with the wolfmen in cages. Creating a race of elite enforcers that followed his commands, work as a team and slaughter anything and anyone at his whim. These hybrid wolves had strong, athletic builds senses that surpassed those engineered from regular wolf stock. The Lycan DNA made them superior to other beastfolk made in the past, giving them quick regenerative properties, allowing them to shrug off most wounds and age a lot slower than normal wolves. They were also gifted hypersensitivity, giving them a sort of sixth sense to aid them in hunting down their prey, or even the dead. These new Lycanfolk could even breed faster and more efficiently to produce more soldiers. Their genes have integrated with other canine breeds to carry on different characteristics to make these apex predators faster, stronger or smarter.
These wolves have become Dr. Moreau’s trusted hunters during his time on the island. They worshiped him and followed his laws religiously, as all isle-kin soon did as the populous grew. The first pack of hybrid wolves went by names starting with the letter “A”, as to instill a sense of pride and dominance over all others. They were given A-names by their master. “For you are all alphas within my pack” said Moreau, and they carried on that mentality and pride like gospel. Adonis, Ares, Atlas, Apollo, Aphrodite and Athena were Moreau’s most trusted hounds. He kept these six closes together with him in hopes to preserve their stock carry on the next generation of elite hunters. They represented the doctor’s merciless fury as they whipped his creations into shape. Isle-kin who disobeyed Moreau were hunted down, killed or worse. Even members of these hybrid wolves were not safe. Should anyone step out of line they immediately put down. Decreasing the chances of them turning on their master. However, this was not a full proof plan. Dr. Moreau’s enforcers would eventually turn their backs on him and join in Mr. Prendick’s rebellion. Killing him in cold blood, his body left gutted and hung up high as a mockery of his godhood. These former hunters of Moreau were blessed with a new sense of freedom that they had never experience before…
This breed of wolves would eventually carry on for years to come. As members of the island ventured off the island so did the lycan hybrids. Many of them eventually faded into obscurity, but one lone pack remained out of the werewolves that seem to grow with time. They called their clan “Wulfs,” as if being the one and only wolves of their kind. Their lineage would carry on to America and parts of Europe. Though their genetic makeup hasn’t changed, they were adapting to their new surroundings much quicker than others. That’s because these new wolves were more effective as an entire family then standing alone. A few lupine isle-kin lived alongside the altered wolves while others were soon absorbed, becoming part of the Wulf clan. It would take decades for the Wulf clan would reunite with family members across the globe, with several yet to be discovered in other corners. They have grown far more sophisticated than their ancestors on the island, for the most part, but have kept that same Alpha mentality instilled in them from long ago. Many becoming bosses, managers, celebrities, entrepreneurs, even having a few paw prints in 20th century. Despite their villainous past, the Wulfs inspire others, mostly their own kind, to do great things. Never settling for second best and dream big. Though some only manage to reach the top, several others come out on top in their own way. Not aspiring to be the best in life but to live the best they can. The Wulfs carry the same pride and rebellious tenacity Moreau has been known have for centuries.
[WULF BLOODLINE]
It is said that the Wulf family are of lycan descent. Werewolves that have been hunted down by men for centuries. Dr. Moreau and his men managed to hunt down the elusive beast and bring them back to the island. Most of the stories told in old tales were true as Moreau soon discovered. Their link to humankind was remarkable. So much so, that the mad doctor used what he could to further his research. Dissecting as many Lycans as he pleased and using their blood to turn willing test subjects. It was all part of creating something that could not only create an entirely new race of animal hybrids but help spread it quickly to the entire world. Dr. Moreau wouldn’t rest until the entire planet was overrun by his isle-kin master race. But his research would be destroyed and long forgotten once his followers and children suddenly rebel against him. Taking his life in the struggle and destroying all his hard work. His latest creation that could bridge the gap between human and beast had integrated with society. Wolves form the Wulf family can be recognized by their tall, sometimes lean physique. They are larger than normal isle-kin wolves, but there are exceptions. Members of the Wulf family will have dark grey or black fur/markings.
Since then, the Wulf clan have thrived, with a growing family in America, Canada, and small parts of Europe. They have even managed to absorb other wolf families into their own. But that’s not what makes the Wulfs unique. The family still cares on their ancestral bloodline. Each member given abilities that set themselves apart from regular wolves. Each one has a sixth sense that helps them, or rather warns them of the presence of something of a supernatural or magical in nature. Gods, fairies, spirits and the undead. For many sharing the Lycan bloodline it is a rare occurrence that they run into something that out of the ordinary. For Sebastian and his family, it seems to happen a few times a week. The entire Wulf family tends to go on these epic adventures to rival an unholy force of nature or combat a fairyland epidemic. They would fight tooth and claw to save Moreau and possibly the world. Once the dust settles, they return home with the spoils of their battles. Sebastian and his family will bring back loot of an ancient foe to keep as a memento or a large tax write-off. The Wulfs are no heroes or legendary guardians by any stretch, but their bonds with each other has kept some of the underworld’s horror’s at bay.
