Who is Leonie Pinelli?

Leonie Pinelli is a character from Fire Emblem Three Houses, a game released on July 26th, 2019 by Nintendo. Like many characters in the game, Leonie is a student at the Officer's Academy located at Garreg Mach Monastery, which is overseen by the Church of Seiros. Born in 1160, to a hunter in a small village, not much is known about Leonie's early life up until 1174, when she first met the famous former captain of the Knights of Seiros, Jeralt the Blade Breaker. The mercenary's visit to her village would change Leonie's life forever, as this is what sparked her desire to become a mercenary. One of her prized possessions is a wooden necklace given to her by Jeralt, and while some such as Hilda may suggest that it's in desperate need of a good cleaning, she will refuse.

Leonie is around the same age as most other students at the academy, being 19 at the start of the game, and 24 after the timeskip. She is a member of the Golden Deer house, led by Claude, future leader of the Leicester Alliance. Since she is a commoner without access to large sums of gold like many of the nobility that attend the academy, Leonie had to borrow from her village to enroll, now leaving her indebted to her people, and determined to someday pay it off with her earnings from her future mercenary work. She has an extremely competitive personality, seen prominently in her relationship with Byleth, Jeralt's child. She feels as if they don't properly respect and understand the status their father holds, and seeks to surpass them. Although she is very skilled with a spear - which helps when she wants to go hunting for food in the forests around the monastery, the difference in strength between the two is very apparent after they first spar, but this won't stop her.

Please note that I have beaten the game twice, once with the Golden Deer at around 39 hours, and again with the Black Eagles at around 80 hours. However, as I have said on all of these profiles, knowledge of the source material is not required. Please don't feel intimidated, I just really like these characters.

How would I use Leonie?

One of the ideas I have for Leonie at the moment involves her and the main character of Three Houses, Byleth. Leonie's jealousy towards Byleth's status as Jeralt's child could be an easy motivator, which it is in the source material. In Three Houses, Leonie seeks to surpass Byleth, hoping to grow stronger to impress Jeralt. And to me, what better way to surpass someone than to eliminate the competition, and make them part of you? Sure, it's a simple idea, but sometimes scenarios don't have to be complicated.

But as for general, non-character-specific ideas, I don't really have anything in mind, though there's a lot I'd be open to. From her hunting someone as a mercenary job, or cooking them afterwards, or being abducted by aliens, Leonie's pretty much fair game for whatever sounds good to me! If you're familiar with some of my older Fire Emblem profiles, then you'll know I'm a fan of alternate versions of characters. I'd totally be down to whip up a unique version of any of the Three Houses characters I have profiles for.

What My Statuses Mean!

- Open to approach! Whether it be just chatting, brainstorming ideas for scenarios, or actually playing something! I love talking to people, just hate approaching them myself.
- I'm actively looking for someone to plan out a scenario with, and trying to reach out myself. Rare due to my social anxiety.
- Something happened to really upset me, and I need to cool off before talking to anyone again.
- Either I'm away from the keyboard, or I've been idle for too long and forgot to change my status back to open.
