Who is Marianne von Edmund?

Marianne von Edmund is a character from Fire Emblem Three Houses, a game released on July 26th, 2019 by Nintendo. Like many characters in the game, Marianne is a student at the Officer's Academy located at Garreg Mach Monastery, which is overseen by the Church of Seiros. Born in 1162 to an unnamed noble, Marianne was adopted by Margrave Edmund when she was 14, becoming the heiress to the Margraviate of Edmund. She is a soft-spoken individual, not that anyone would ever know considering how rarely she speaks. This is due in part to her deep-rooted low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence, and she often sees herself as a burden to those around her, only making the matter worse. Their attempts to get her to open up often fail, resulting in these feelings only deepening.

Marianne is around the same age as most other students at the academy, being 17 at the start of the game. She is a member of the Golden Deer house, led by Claude, future leader of the Leicester Alliance - though she doesn't interact with her fellow students all that much, but not to the degree of shutting herself off like Bernadetta does. Marianne does have a few passions, however, such as a love for birds and animals in general. She frequently talks to these creatures, using them as one of her few outlets for her various problems. Like many attending the academy, she is a devote follower of the teachings of Serios, and prays to the goddess daily.

Please note that I have beaten the game twice, once with the Golden Deer at around 39 hours, and again with the Black Eagles at around 80 hours. However, as I have said on all of these profiles, knowledge of the source material is not required. Please don't feel intimidated, I just really like these characters.

How would I use Marianne?

I'm not exactly sure what I'll want to do with Marianne, but I think something with animals could potentially be interesting. Due to my submissive nature, the idea of her being pinned and dominated by a larger animal sounds oddly appealing, as does the idea of her living amongst them, perhaps turning the tables on humanity, and eating them with the help of her animal companions.

What My Statuses Mean!

- Open to approach! Whether it be just chatting, brainstorming ideas for scenarios, or actually playing something! I love talking to people, just hate approaching them myself.
- I'm actively looking for someone to plan out a scenario with, and trying to reach out myself. Rare due to my social anxiety.
- Something happened to really upset me, and I need to cool off before talking to anyone again.
- Either I'm away from the keyboard, or I've been idle for too long and forgot to change my status back to open.
