Haruka's Magic

Here is a somewhat crude representation of different Magic schools. I want to point out it is not related to other kind of classifications, like differences between a sorcerer/witcher/wizard, does not include alchemy, since this distinction is more about the magical manipulation of the word, not the means of achieving that manipulation:



So, the three main magical "methods" are Alteration, Thaumaturgy and Mysticism. Mysticism itself can be subdivided into two major (and pretty similar schools) - Conjuration and Illusion.

Alteration is a school which changes the physical properties of objects, creatures new atypical features.

Thaumaturgy does not physically create new structures but instead either amplifies the existing properties, or manipulates the position of an object in the world, or manipulates raw magical energies.

Illusion affects only someone's particular perception of the world, without changing the world itself.

Conjuration - creates a link between the world of the living and either with the World of the Dead. Similar to illusion, in the sense that illusion creates a link between an individual and the World of Dreams (sleep). Allows summoning, allows soul capturing.

Evocation - is seen by many as a variation of Conjuration, Evocation is basically a summoning of the basic Elements and their manipulation, which is incredibly useful in destruction spells. Unlike Conjuration, Evocation refers to creating/summoning the inanimate elements or energies.

Restoration - a subschool of Thaumaturgy which restores (or purifies) the particular living thing. Restoration methods do not make the creation of the new objects possible.

Transformation - a certain mixture of Alteration and Thaumaturgy spells, might include the elements of Evocation but this inclusion is very unlikely.


Eg., we need to cross a river:

Alteration - we draw the heat out of the water, making it freeze
Thaumaturgy - we make our body as light as possible OR
Thaumaturgy - we levitate OR
Thaumaturgy - we teleport
Illusion - useless here.
Conjuration - we invite Charon to help us
Evocation - we freeze the water with a massive amount of cool air OR
Evocation - we actually evoke a big amount of sand out of nowhere and dump it across the river.
Restoration - useless here.
Transformation - we make trees grow over the water making a bridge OR
Transformation - we grow wings.

- incantation

Haruka's Levels:

Human ← Prey 1 ← Prey 2 ← Pred 1 ← Pred 2 ← Pred 3

Human - she is human or nearly human
Prey 1 - a kitsune prey with nearly no magic ability
Prey 2 - a kitsune prey keen for survival
Pred 1 - a predator with basic kitsune abilities
Pred 2 - a predator who knows a couple of useful tricks
Pred 3 - death machine.

Puzzling Hex
You roll your Intelligence against an enemies Intelligence. If you win, you confuse them into messing up their magics. Target enemy is unable to use Magic or Assistance moves for 1d6 turns.

Grow
You target yourself and add your Intelligence stat to a roll. If you get higher than 17 on your roll, you become twice as large. You gain a +5 to all types of vore, enemies take a -5 to eating you, and you get a +10 to your Strength stat. Enemies can attempt to distract you with an Allure roll. If they beat your roll, then you take a -5 penalty to whatever you originally rolled. (Example-- you roll a 18, enemy rolls a 20. You WOULD normally grow, however, since they beat you, your total is 18-5=13, and thus you fail.) If you fail by 5 or more, you shrink instead, and you are treated like an enemy Shrink ability was used on you. This ability ends if you take 2 damage, fully digest 1 opponent, or are in the final stage of a vore.

Shrink:
You target an enemy and shrink them. You add your Intelligence stat as a roll, while they add their Resistance stat to their opposing roll. If you beat their roll, for 5 turns they have a -5 to Vore, they can not do Combat moves, allies have a +5 to voring them, and they have a -7 to their Strength stat. If the enemy wins by 5 or more, the Re-sizer fails and they are treated like an ally Growth was cast on them instead.
